I was talkin to one of my chick friends and she mensioned that she was on the pill. She was bitching about all the constant PMS symptoms (apparently it gives em that?) Her doctor told her that she can't smoke cigarettes, now she doesn't know if she isn't supostue smoke weed also. So what i want to know from the wise people of totse is if she can smoke the weed or not?

Re: The pill and smoking?
The medical industry would frown on smoking of any kind, but the medical industry also knows that the diseases/illnesses/whatever that plague cigarette smokers just aren't being seen in lifetime cannabis-only smokers. No lung cancer, throat cancer, heart complications, nada. Cigarette smoking assaults the heart in ways cannabis smoking does not, and this is the main concern for birth control pill users.
Also, if the pill is giving her "constant PMS symptoms" she needs to tell her doctor and request a different type of pill. They are not all the same, and different formulas work for different women.

Re: The pill and smoking?
Yes, you can get various cancers from smoking pot. Not as much as with cigarettes, but that's probably because there are very few people who smoke as much pot as most smokers smoke cigarettes.
Anyway, if you really want to know if it is safe to smoke pot while on the pill, consult a doctor.

You'd think so, but there hasn't been a single documented case. Where'd you get your info, DARE? Freevibe? This argument really belongs in BLTC, anyways.

Re: The pill and smoking?
If you're a chain smoker, you're not supposed to be on the pill. Smoking and pill gives you high blood pressure. If you smoke less than a pack a day, you're fine.
I'm sure she doesn't smoke 20 bowls a day, so she'll be fine.
If she's got low blood pressure, she's even more fine..

Re: The pill and smoking?
THC doesn't have any known drug interactions, including the pill.
I don't know all the details of why the doctor told her not to smoke, but the pill can raise your blood pressure, so the heart effects of nicotine could be a concern.
THC doesn't have any effects like that, though, so you don't have to worry.
