Just wondering, because my ass is procrastinating on work I should be doing, which is impossible with sex on the brain. I'm avoiding dating right now; I imposed some stupid rule on myself about "no more first date sex" which means no dating at all because I can't help myself.

I've had 2 girlfriends, and numerous sexual encounters with both, but I never actually took them on any proper 'dates.'

I met both of them at parties, though, and ending up having my way with them, so I'd tend to think it's ok if both parties are aware of what they're doing.

If the people know each other the girl is less likely to get named a slut. A knew a girl a month or so and we met at the cinemas with other friends, after the first time alone (proper date?) we had sex.

Neither of us felt bad, no-one else did either.

All your questions assume there are some rules out there that we should follow. I really don't think there are any. Just do whatever you want. However, it would be more fun to assume there are all these prude rules and then just break em. When are we going out?

I think that if you go out to pick up a guy and end up doin' the do, then there's no problem because it was expected.

If you know a guy for a while and then do it on your first date, that's cool because you know him.

If one of your friends tells you "you need to go out with this guy I know, because I told him you'd fuck him on the first date," then you have a problem.

i've had first date sex, and pre-first date sex, and pre-dating at all sex. in my experience, it's never gone arwy. then again, i'm not a total douche like a lot of guys are. oh well.

Those are some interesting questions seeing that as times change...so do people's ideas and views on such incidents. As of today, I would say that I'm sure there are still the types of guys that become BUTT hurt, and feel used and abused. But I think that would be more likely to occur with someone that already had an interest in you.

You know what screw that too. I think that if a chick wants nothing more than a piece of ass once in a while, that is not grounds for deeming her a slut. That's ridiculous. Of course there are no guarantee's that he won't become whipped and do it anyway. Maybe if you just kept him thinking that it would just be a freindship with benefits, that might keep him from spreading the word.

You should just try and make it clear to him that those are your intentions. The must be thousands of men that only wish to be given such an opportunity.

I personaly beleive in getting to know someone before jumping into bed. While this generaly (not always) rules out sex on the first date, it freely permits having fuck-friends. But what the hell, it's your decision.

That's a good point. Considering the idea of doing anything with a girl for no other reason than to shag her later makes me ill, but if we were out and it just worked out that way, damned if I'd turn it down without a very good reason (wanting to know her better is not a very good reason, although having a shaky feeling about her intentions or mindset is).

Ok, so no one really thinks "first date" sex is a big deal. Maybe it's just in my area, but I've been sensing an almost retro-50s attitude that such behavior is frowned upon.
