Problems with the ex
I'm not sure if this is really the place to say this, but I trust you guys to at least try to help.
So, about a year ago, I was dating this guy, let's call him Monte. Looking back on it, the relationship was pretty superficial. I loved being around him, but mostly for kind of sexual reasons. We never really got to know eachother, but we were both young (me 13, him 17) and were convinced we loved eachother. Then he broke up with me and I took it pretty hard. I couldn't hear his name without bursting into tears for months.
Cut to a few months ago. I was pretty much over him, when he starts instant messenging me being really nice and somewhat flirty. Everytime I saw him, he would flirt with me and tell me how sorry he was that he dumped me and say it was a huge mistake, yadda, yadda, yadda. So finally I just told him to cut it out and we're not going out anymore, so he just needs to stop. He seemed pretty upset and said he was sorry and this isn't him, he's not really like this, whatever.
Then tonight we start talking (online) and he opens up to me about how getting kicked out of his dad's house and having to move in with him mom, only to move again a couple years later has really screwed him up. And he says he doesn't know who he is anymore. He lost himself when he left Oregon. I was the only person in this town who ever cared about him. And all this other stuff. And I'm starting to feel bad about all this. I feel sorry for him. I want to help. I want to be his crying shoulder.
The only problem is that I know he lies. I don't know if he's lied to me, but I know he lies to people. I think he might just be trying to get sympathy from me because he can't find a girlfriend. Some of the stuff he's saying is pretty insane. "the whole time in steamboat, i wasnt allowed to write anything without someone (parent, teacher, or probation officer) in the room, if i got caught, my P.O. was hike up the alert and i would've been on house arrest, 2nd offense ankle bracelet 3rd offence detention home under 24 hour survalence, im still scarred from that" Does that sound believable to you? I really really want to believe him, but I just don't think I can. What should I do?

Re: Problems with the ex
A liar who has the urge to date 13 year old girls when he's 17?
Don't look back. Nothing but trouble.
BTW, he fucking pimped your ass. 13 year old dating a 17 year old... I bet you were 'in love.'
Did he have a neato car, too?
P.S.: Sorry. I'm trying to be hones. You shouldn't allow yourself to be fucked around, which is exactly what this piece of shit paedophile is doing.

Re: Problems with the ex
You're probably right. But 13 year olds and 17-24 year olds isn't really all that weird around here. Sounds strange, but it's a small town and you don't always have a million different options for people your age to pick from. Also, i should have clarified, we never had sex, there was just always a lot of groping going on.
Anyway, thanks for the honesty. I know you're right

Despite the fact that kikey's been a real ass tonight, I find myself agreeing with him on this.

Re: Problems with the ex
Okay, now that we know he's dicking me around, what do I do about it? I can't very well reject him. There's still the outside chance that he's sincere and telling him to fuck of could destroy him. Hell, even if he's making everything up, he's still a fucked up person who doesn't handle anything well. I'm still talking to him, basically just saying sympathetic~style things. Pretend you're not a heartless bastard, what would you do?

Re: Problems with the ex
If you're going to call me by my real name, call me by my real name.
A lot of people will agree with me on this, about half the time kikey makes intelligent well thought out posts. The other half of the time we can't stand him.

Re: Problems with the ex
I always thought it was the fact that they are intelligent, well thought out posts that made everyone unable to stand me.
BTW, I was referencing a song whose part that I can't discern I identify as "Bruce."

Who the fuck cares?
The guy's a piece of shit. The fact that you even remotely care about his feelings shows how brainwashed you are by the jerk-off.
Wait a second, that was my naturally heartless-bastard mode. I'll have to cosciously change into decent guy mode. Alright:
Tell him that you two just aren't right for each other. This will more than likely result in his stalking you, resulting in you having to take out a restraining order o him.
It's a lot easier to be a heartless bastard.

I just did, and I did before.
Just because I like making a few jokes, doesn't mean the advice I gave you isn't true.
Kick the asshole to the curb.

*Daithai's girlfriend*
If you feel like he is a liar and you feel like he had lied to you leave the motherfucker hes too old for you anyway if he was 16 and you had just turned 14 then it might be ok.Me a daithai live in a small place theres not many people but still it is possible to be able to find love. And if his dad kicked him out of his house then he must of fucking deserved it,you dont want to be associated with someone like that like if he would do something that bad to his dad then think of what he would do to you.

Re: Problems with the ex
I agree with those above, the dude sounds like bad news. And no offence, but there just has to be something wrong with some 17 year old who goes after someone who is 13.
He definitely sounds fucked up, and if you keep on with him then you'll end up being fucked up too. That shit is contagious.
Kick him to the curb.

Re: Problems with the ex
Sounds like he's bullshitting you, babe...I had a girlfriend once who told me all that stuff about her parents' divorce fucking her up made her do these bad things to me blah blah blah.
Except I made the mistake of taking her back only to let her cheat on me and tell her mates that I had been hitting her and shit.
Take it from me, this guy is 17...you are 13...he's nearly an adult and he wants to be with a 13 year old?!?!
He sounds like paedo material to me and I agree with what you thought; it's probably because he can't get another girlfriend.
Stay away, love...it'll be better for you really and truly!

Re: Problems with the ex
Thanks everyone. I'm now 14 and he's now almost 19. I'm not thinking of getting back with him, I just want to help him if he needs it. I feel bad for him because he doesn't have any friends. Also, the only reason I think he's lying is because of the stuff he says and the way he says them. I've never caught him in a lie. But he's still a dick who I need to stay away from. And, yeah, you guys are right about the age difference; that's one of the reasons we broke up. gah. thanks for the help

Re: Problems with the ex
he's trying to weasel his way back into your life. you let him in once, then got rid of him. he can't find anyone else to be friends with, so he turns to you. you didn't want him as a normal friend, so he starts saying shit, begging for sympathy; playing the sympathy card, using the fact that girls rarely deny someone sympathy.
fuck him. he's playing with your head, looking for a way to get back into your life, or into your pants.
i say tell him to come over, then when he gets there, kick him in the balls, spit on him. kick him in the ribs when he's on the ground and tell him that you didn't like him the first time he was in your life.
if you want to get rid of this guy, you need to stop being nice to him. as soon as you kick him to the curb like a heartless bastard, he'll stop trying to get into your life by being nice. he'll start to talk about how you're a worthless slut. he'll say that you need him and that no one will date you but him. basically he'll put you down and try to make you fel worthless. ignore this for a while, or have someone put him in his place, and you'll probably get rid of him. good luck.

Re: Problems with the ex
There isn't really any need to DO anything, just be careful. You don't need to reject him, and you don't really have to confront him on it, just when you spend time with him always keep it in the back of your mind that he isn't trustworthy... that way you don't make any spur-of-the-moment foolish choices. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Guys like that are good to string along. You never know when you might need a "fall guy" for a simple, perfect little crime that goes unexpectedly awry.

Re: Problems with the ex
Sorry to bring up my own old post, but I have more to add to the situation if anyone cares.
A couple nights ago when I was talking to Monte, I asked him to meet me by the high school at lunch, just so we could see eachother. I didn't think this would be a problem. I knew that he and my sister's boyfriend didn't really get along, but I didn't think it was really too serious.
So today I meet him at the gas station and we're just walking around, when we walk past my sister, her boyfriend, and a few other kids. They kept yelling shit at us. I couldn't understand what they were saying, so I just looked at them confusedly and walked on.
Later they came up to me and Monte while we were just sitting around talking. My sister pulled me aside and asked me if I knew what was going on. I knew that her boyfriend had been accused (my Monte) of breaking into Monte's house and stealing shit. Then I hear "Dude, what the fuck? I didn't do anything!" So I turned around to see my sister's boyfriend and another guy kicking and punching Monte while he sat there on the ground. But they left quickly and I ran over to Monte to see if he was okay.
The rest of the lunch period was spent comforting him and saying I was sorry for bringing him there and getting him into shit. He then called his mom for a ride to the hospital (very badly bruised muscle). He then mentioned that his mom was going to get the police involved in the matter. I said that I didn't see anything and went back to class.
Okay, so it doesn't relate much to anything, but I think it's a fun story. Now with all the police shit, my sister's boyfriend (along with my sister) may leave town if the charges are not dropped. Monte may also be in for a world of hurt (and possibly death) if he keeps this shit up. So now I'm the only one who can get him to stop so that the well-being of my sister and her boyfriend may be spared. I think it could be a TV movie, but that's just my opinion.
