My girlfriend (long distance relationship, read other thread), has been gone for two months and I won't see her for another 10.

Its not a normal LD relationship its a really really far one. No matter if I fly or drive there it would cost hundreds of dollars.

It finally hit me she's gone for a long time and I don't want to end it I love her to much to do it. I know that a lot of you people would have said fuck it by now, but I know if we lived closer to each other we would the perfect couple. We haven't been in a single fight at all.

Side note: Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I've been in a somewhat similar situation, though the distance and time apart weren't quite so big. Don't know what to say other that 'phone sex' and 'cyber sex'.

Yeah. Since I won't be having that many problems with relationships other that the distance factor. I think I should leave the S&A forum and go onto a different or try to help people more. Since I have this long distance relationship my advice/help can only go so far.

Hey man, I know how you're feeling. I'm in a relationship with a girl all the way across the country from me. We've been together for a little over 13 months. All I can say is talk talk talk, communication is key.

I dunno, I've yet to see one of these situations work out well. This is something everyone learns for themselves because it's hard to separate the heart from the head at this point.

But, it also depends on how you conducted the relationship. If you spent a lot of time in each other's company and had a lot of physical contact, odds are against this working out.

If you two spent more time on AIM (or whatever) and on the phone than actually being together physically, then the odds are better.

Soon, one of you will be craving opposite-sex company and thus begin the complications, especially with a new school year. It might work out fine for you, but try not to be angry or disappointed if it doesn't.

Our relationship stared because I needed someone to talk to because I was really depressed last year. Before I opened up to her I found out that she is a realy caring person and all. Then I started opening up to her, after about 2 months of talking I fell in love with her. I told her, she told me she felt the same way. I have only met her twice in my life. Last ausust, and this just past july. We have only had physical contact once.

They way you put it the odds are stacked in my favor. I am craving opposite sex company, I am able to push it down though. I flirt but don't go any further than that.

Maybe her fucking parents will be nice and fucking come here on christmas, seeing as they know whats going on between me and kimmy. Kimmy also told me last year that they might move hear once her sister is done with high school, this is her sisters last year so its all good. I am guessing its a big maybe, but I only hope for the best and usually don't get my hopes up.

I would personally break off the relationship. Long distance relationships simply become too much of a burden, especially over long periods of time. They simply do not work.
