Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
Do they exist? I don't think so.
Guys are naturally independent, and the smart ones can be rebellious probably due to testosterone (I'm talking like, genius criminals and stuff ).
I've found that while smart girls CAN be independent, they are usually also very conformative to society.
Uhh, if that dosen't make sense, I find it usually the dumber girls who 'rebel' for some reason, while the smart ones are always laywers or doctors or something.. so are men.. but I mean, you never see any female terrorists, dictators, cirminal masterminds etc. Mabye homicidal killers (I think:confused but I think that has more to do with the social pressures and such.
The reason I used the above types of people as an example, is that when smart people rebel they don't usually go out and start shoplifting or heavy drug-use, they go and plan some complex bank heists or stuff like that.

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
sure they exist. just not as much as their male counterparts. guys who do shit like that do it for ego reasons. girls don't have testosterone driven egos. that and girls are stupid.

Ya, I confess that I have a huge ego, and the only person I've felt ever came close to measuring up to me in life was a guy, and even then I was at least physically superior to him.
I'm not saying I've bombed a federal building before, but hey, my life is only just starting

I THINK I'm "intelligent", and "non conformist", and I KNOW I'm "independent". But I'm definitely NOT violent. I post here, and I think there are quite a few other girls who have those qualities who post here. Love, Venus.

Aye, you don't have to kill people to be smart and rebellious.

I'll start off by saying I'm drunk.
But I love my girlfriend, she's perfect. Sometime I'll talk about her.

Of course being noncomformist is really conforming to the nonconformity.

At least you're not conforming to conform to the conformists.

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
Women are manifestations of a dependent and attaching principle. Femininity is matter compared to spirit, which is masculine. Matter cannot truly exist without spirit, and thus, women need men and exist relative to them. Women have to realize and live this to feel complete.

Um... yeah. Whatever.
But yes, they do exist. Just not many. And especially not in high school, neither gender really has their shit together then.

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
this post is in no way supposed to be sexist...so don't start getting all eggy!
anyways...
from my point of view, which happens to be as an older brother, i think that women will SAY that they are independant although they will freely ask for money, help, etc.
they will say they are "making a statement" or being rebellious but take a look around and they look just the same as all of the other tarts wandering around in the same stupid hats and trainers.
for example, my sister is 14...she goes on about being independant and not needing anybody's helpful advice but will not think twice about asking my dad for money to buy the latest fasion accessory with or getting herself into shit and asking for help when i already tried telling her that hanging around with these people WILL get her into trouble.
she aslo insists that she is being unique and rebellious and "making a statement" and shit but she looks exactly the same as every other teenage girl i see in the street.
so basically put...women THINK they are being unique and independant but only when it is convienient for them...the rest of the time they will be moany, whiney little bitches with a reflex action of putting a hand out as soon as your hand enters your pocket!!!

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
Psycho: You think you're talking about girls, but you're really not. You're talking about teenage clones. They're very different. You're also referring to guys, they do exactly the same things you just described.
I don't do the same things as your sister, and I don't think many of the other girls on this board do, either.
Edit: I thought I might point out, as your sister is fourteen, your parents are supposed to support her. Although "for the latest fashion accessory" is a stupid reason to ask for money, where else is she meant to get money?

Getting cash from mom and dad is one thing. Doing so and then touting your exceptional independence is more than a tad bit hypocritical.

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
Well, I score above average in most technical intelligence evaluations... meaning that I had fantastic grades in school, and scored well above a majority of my peers in college entrance exams.
I also would consider myself above average in common sense, logic, reasoning, and general knowledge.
I don't really see myself as a conformist, I only agree with society when it agrees with me, if you know what I mean.
I also don't really consider myself a "rebel" either though... I don't make an effort to be one way or the other, I just sort of LIVE, let the cards fall as they may.
I don't want to ever have regrets... I put a lot of thought into my decisions because when I'm 80 I don't want to have to regret doing or not doing something.
If I ever do commit a crime, it will be epic... so genius that the public wouldn't even find out about it because whoever I ripped off would be so embarrassed and belittled by my skill. (Hmm, does estrogen fuel ego too?)
I think I got my foolish rebelion out of my system when I was only a wee child. My friends were a tribe of hooligans and we did all sorts of naughty things. Thank god breaking and entering doesn't get you jailed when you're 10. :P

I'm not getting eggy but you're unfairly grouping.
I'm a woman, and I don't feel right unless I know I'm pulling my weight. I live with my guy, we share expenses. He earns a little under 2x as much per month as I do. 8 out of 10 times I do the grocery shopping. Since arriving in the country I've gotten a few things for myself, out of neccessity... and my pleasure shopping is the occasional gift for him, because that is tons more fun for me, and guilt free too.
I borrowed money from my dad when I was too young to get a job, and then it was the odd $10 for something special. And I do mean borrow, because I had an allowance (that I earned by doing chores) and I paid him back.
About a year ago my dad gave up his job, on principle I believe... even though I thought it was stupid and irresponsible it didn't stop me from helping. I chipped in financialy when I saw them struggling, even though I was out living on my own... not ALL girls are after $$.

Re: Independent AND Smart AND Rebellious girls?
They are all after virility though. It is absolutely stupid folly to pretend women have a lasting, immortal identity without an attachment to a man.
