Default Should I be worried?

Me and this girl have a long distance relationship. She has been really depressed lately because of our distance between us and I am kind of worried with the last email she sent me. I'll include the email I sent before the one she sent me. She has been in a mental hospital and tried to kill herself drinking. Tell me if you would be worried.

Heres the one I sent her:

Kimmy

I got the camera today all the pictures are gone now this weekend i'll have the money to develop them then in about 2 weeks I'll send what I got for you. I got one with a picture cd me and my friends are going to edit it so its funny as hell. Some of the pictures are funny. With the cd we're going to edit a bunch of sound effects into it so its funny as hell, then watch it through.

You're freshman year is the best and worst year of high school, same with the senior year. God I loved it I. I miss all the people I knew there and I won't see half of them for the rest of my life but I'll get over it. I'm going to go hope we talk soon.

I Love You

-Matt

Heres her reply to it:

Matt,

Im sure that will come out nice. Im kind of in a fucked up mood, so im just going to end it. sorry about that matt. But thanks for everything you've done. peace, love, empathy. Kimmy.

I know the whole peace, love, empathy was on kurt cobains suicide note. I am not worried about that because she has put that in all of her emails since I met her a year ago.

I love this girl more than anything in the world. If she kills herself I follow, that is why I am so worried.

I hope she does not kill herself, but I know that if she does, your pain will pass. DO NOT FOLLOW! Trust me, it will hurt, but you can move on eventually and be happy. And probably a bit stronger too. Stay in contact and let us know how things work out.

i've been thinging and the worst thing in the world has got to be if your girlfriend dies. there would be no finality to the relationship. she would be the thing you compare everyone else too, if there ever would be anyone else. it really must be horrible. i couldn't even imagine how bad that would be. now im depressed.

I have a friend (female) whose fiancé was murdered about 16 months ago. It was very hard on her because she is very religious and strongly believed that it was God's will that they be together. She had not had many boyfriends and was still a virgin. All those things made them really close. She still misses him, but has already started dating again. You never fully get over something like that, but you can move on and be happy.

hmm... i dunno what advice i can give ya, man. i deal with death like i deal with a shit. it picks at you, then you let go and practically forget about it. best thing i can say is that you shouldn't kill yerself 'cause this girly did. if she commits, that doesn't mean you should. there ARE other girls out there, i know for a fact

If someone you care about threatens -- or even hints about -- suicide, TAKE her SERIOUSLY, AND HELP HER out of her depression, or get her some help!! My best GF in the whole world did that. If I had just had a chance to help her, we could be laughing and living and having fun together today. She had fallen in big "L" Love with a guy, and what should have been a momentary disappointment in their relationship ended in her suicide. What she did ended her life, and It changed mine a lot, and probably forever. Don't let it happen to one of your friends. You are lucky because you know about her hint of suicide, and can get some help to her. I didn't have that chance. Don't let it happen to her---or to you. Love, Venus.

I called. There was no answer there. So now I am worried. I'll call again later, if I don't talk to her online tonight.

I talked to her online. Everything is fine. I'm just a bit skiddish because all of what has happened between me and her this summer.

So she'll call me on thursday its an everyother thursday thing. I call her one thursday then she calls the next (saves money on long distance, even with 1010220)

i would be really pissed if one of my friends killed themselves. i have no patience for suicidal people. i don't think your life could ever be so bad that it's not worth living. there are very few circumstances that i think suicide is appropriate. i mean, everybody has rough times, just deal with them, and let life get better.

Ok.. I havent read past the first post on the subject so I might have missed something but I gotta say something. This might sound a little hard to do but u gotta end it now I was in a similar relationship (yours sounds about the same as mine exept I only lived about a mile away from her) END IT RIGHT FUCKING NOW! I know how u feel but u gotta trust me on this. when she said that shit to me I was ready with a loaded 10 gauge in my closet but after a while I realized its a bunch of bullshit. there are more girls in the world. youre gonna find one within a few months that will make u think what the fuck was I thinking with that other bitch. all shes doing is wanting attention. you dont want someone like that cause that just allows for future problems and its more stress than u need. i hope that made some sense to you cause it didnt to me.

You know what, give the girl a call, like, phone her. It's long distance yeah and money is owch, but sometimes the line between freaking out and just plain bein thinking stupid things is another human voice on the line that you know is making a sacrifice to be talking.

No. I will not. I love her too much to do so. It would kill her too, which will make it hard, and if I do that I will have to fight my best friend because she is his cousin, don't know who would win though. He already told me you ever treat her like you do to any of your ex's we're gonna fight.

We'll make it through this, she's getting better as the days go on. It also turns out that she was talking about everything I have done for her in the past two weeks.

why kill yourself?

that's the wimp's way out of the pain man!

you'll heal and get over it with time...trust me.

i personally would be worried, but at the end of the day it's her choice to snuff herself...not mine.

Okay, man, I have had a girlfriend slit her own throat in front of me, and there was nothing I could do but lunge for the knife after it was too late, and hold her while she died. Also, a few months ago another girlfriend, Jenna, left a suicide note with me at school, and I read it on the bus ride home. I called her house when I got home, no answer. I called every five minutes for three hours, and I finally got an answer, but she was "busy". She called me at eight o'clock that night, and I cried when I heard her voice. She slit her wrist in her bathtub with a razorblade, and bled there. Called her mom when she got home, and brought her to the hospital. The point is that no one wants to die. I am no longer going out with these people, and though I think about the one who killed herself every day of my life, I am still happy that I knew her, and that I did not end my life. take care, man. Things will be fine.
