Default what would you do?

okay.... lets say you like someone a lot. you think she (or he... whatever) is beautiful. sexy. smart. funny. but s/he is maybe a little fucked up in the head... they've had a rough life and there is obviously some emotional baggage. do you try for her/him or do you just forget it?

definately. the best case is if you can help him/her out. it could be just what s/he needs. if it's a good relationship, it could be the best thing that's ever happened to them. the best thing in the world is being with the person you love and forgetting everything that's wrong.

Everyone has emotional baggage. Knowing what it is a plus unless you want a very short relationship. Besides, those who wear their emotions on their sleeves are much easier to control. Not that I would take advantage of that or anything.

Go for it. Those kind of relationships can be the best you can ever have. What they need is love and if you can give them love you'll get it in return. Be careful in break ups though. They can be quite messy. So go for it.

Taking advantage of that is just bullshit. You're not making the person better you'll only make the person worse.

Everyone has baggage, at least this way you have some idea of what it is.

(so says the guy who's every date has spent time in a padded room of some sort)
