Default my college dillema: revisited.

well, she left today. she's gone until october, unless her parents cave and go to pick her up. i know it'll be easy to be faithful and loving until summer is over, but when school starts again, im not so sure of my willpower. we've talked about it, and decided to give it two weeks to see how it works out with her gone.

there is another chick i sort of like, but i haven't seen her all summer. thats why summer was so easy. i posted about this a long time ago, doubt anyone would remember. this chick is one of the cool kids, a cheerleader, and she's actually pretty fun.

on one hand, i want to stay with jenna, and make it last. i love her, and if she is the one, i don't want to fuck it up. on the other hand, i want to be a high school senior and (as bad as it sounds) get laid again before october. not just get laid, but have someone to hug, have someone to chill with, know what i mean? and i kind of want to see other girls, just to see if i could have what i have with jenna with other girls.

on top of all that, i know that jenna is madly in love with me. i don't want to hurt her. it would kill her if we broke up.

so, basically, im torn between staying with jenna, and being single and free for my senior year., experimenting with other chicks, etc. im confused and a little depressed. if i've been a bit bitchy lately, this is why. advice about it? anything really would be apreciated.

Do you what you originally discussed, see how it goes for two weeks, if things don't go so well you have plenty of time to meet others,

The logic of splitting up while you're apart is to save both of you the pain of being together, but not together. If it's going to hurt more to do that than to try and be faithful, though, then don't break up. When the time comes that it's just not working and needs to be done, you'll know, and you'll do it.

I think it's also important to ask yourself here if you're having these feelings just because of the other girl, or whether it would be the same if she wasn't involved or not...

If it's just because of her, then it's prolly just infatuation dude... Talk it over with Jenna and see if she has similiar feelings, but make sure you start it off properly so that she woun't get the wrong impression... Guess you gotta sit down a bit and think this one over.

Like you said in your previous thread, you want Jenna to experience the 'whole college thingy' and you're sure she'll want to do the same thing once she's in college...Anyways, work out a plan w/ Jenna and scheduele(sp) when you can meet each other, how much time(if any) you can spend with her, and see how things take off from there.

Better to not set a straight plan right now mate, else you'll be excessively pressured into sticking to it.

Cheers

Do you love her, that is the question . if you can honestly say that you want to spend your life with her. I made the mistake of leaving the girl that I loved to the bottom of my heart. I wanted to experiment, but I ended up losing her, and I am regretting it to this day. So if you love her, dont break up, or seperate, or a two week peiod of serperatikon cause if you two love each other, you'll end up regretting it very much.

see that's exactly what im worried about. i do love her, but what i want to know is if i can have the same feelings toward someone else. im still only 17, and i really don't know if i want to spend the rest of my life with her. thats a hard decision to make when you're still young. i don't want to fuck up something great, but i can't keep going on wondering if i could love other girls too.

and this other girl probably is just an infatuation, but i don't know her well enough to just count her out. sometimes infatuations do turn into something else. if i started dating the other girl, i've been wondering if i can fall in love with her the way i did with jenna.

I got my hair cut today and was talking to my hair dresser. And as some of you know, the relationship between customer and hair lady is a strong one. The conversation came up about my ex. And it basically went like this:

Maria: So are you still with him?

Mojo: No, I'm letting him get over his phase now instead of later. I'd rather split now then a couple years down the road when we're getting settled down.

Maria: You guys are young, do a lotta now. It's better than you having to deal with him doing a lotta later on.

Just in case you didn't catch that, the a lotta means fucking around.

She starting college and your still in high school, there's no rush. It's better that you learn what's out there compared to Jenna this year than way down the road. You could just be delaying an inevitable break up by staying with her. If you agree to split while you're apart you can test out the water, so to speak, live your lives seperately and see how it goes. You know: IF you love something let it go, if it comes back it's your, if it doesn't it never was. That's true, and I know from personal experience.

I think you guys should split for a while. Give each other the freedom to do what you want while you're miles apart and see what you feel when you can be together again. All the holding on and trying to stay faithful can be really hard and might be in vain.

Dear Eyesore: Since I have never been in Big "L" Love, I'm not sure I can understand the tug and pull you feel right now. However, I treasure my freedom, and would be very reluctant to give it up to maintain a faithful, heartfelt relationship with someone who is going away to college. She will now be around a lot of new guys, who will be RIGHT THERE for her to enjoy. It's all going to be new and exciting to her, and the new sights, sounds, tastes and guys are going to probably trump her memories of even the really good experiences and times with you (of which I am sure there have been many!). But she -- like you now -- will not want to say so to you, and so the almost inevitable breakup will all get put off for a time in the future when you have both drifted away from the sensations of one another sufficiently to allow you to end it. So it may be better not to go through the sacrifices and agony of that delay........missing all the good things that you want to check out here and now!! I guess you just need to decide for yourself if you honestly think the relationship is strong enough to survive the separation, and the temptations and new interests each of you are going to encounter far away from one another. Whatever you decide should lead you to the right decision. Personally, I think indecision is the worst!! ANY decision is better than none at all!! Hope I never have to make a decision like that. Whatever happens, I hopw it makes you a happy one!! Best Wishes. Love, Venus.

pretty pinay, that was exactly my fear, that she would see everything down there and get swept up in it.

mojo, thanks, thats kind of the way i was leaning, and there's nothing better than having someone give you the advice you were hoping for.

we've talked again about it, and she says that she wants to make it work. i still think there's no way it's going to work. so i suggested that maybe we should take a break from eaxh other till maybe next summer or so. she started crying. so, i said, well lets give this some time, till the next time you come home, we'll figure it out then.

she doesn't know when shes coming home next, so... i'll keep ya's updated.

Just try the two weeks. After that, if the long-distance relationship isn't worth it, you'll know, and you can break it off. Just relax and see what happens.

You could also just save that whole "free and single" thing for college.
