this really sucks. like, i love my bf to fuckin death, right? but whenever we're aroudn his friends, its like... oh look theres your gf, and he hardly pays attention to me... unless i make it so he will, like start acting like im mad at him.. and i mean, i do get mad though. cuz just today, we went to dinner with a few of my friends, and his bestfriend. i act like myself when im around my friends, but he just.. doesnt. You know how when tow people are together.. you just do little things to like, show that you like em and stuff? like little flirty things? well... we just have these thins like touchin each others legs and stuff and i duno, we jsut... its us. anyways, i did somethin liek that.. and he doesnt een notice it. That's okay, maybe he didnt realize it... but then i did it soemother times and he'd just actm dumb. And then he hardly looked at me, or tlaked to me or anything. i hate it. and when i bring it up to him that he acts different when he's aroudn his friends he denies it and bitches at me. i mean, i dont wanna break up wiht him, but he just.. wont listen to me, or anything. ugh... any comments?

You either have the shy guys who don't like to get touchy feely with their gf's around their buddies, or you have the fuckin gropers who are too goddamn young to know what is and is NOT appropriate in public...

Count yourself lucky that he's not the latter.

There isn't much you can DO, just be patient and accept it. Don't be HURT by it, he's not neccessarily embarrassed by you, so much as he's embarrassed of showing that he is a sweetheart in front of his mates... no guy likes looking like he's pussy whipped.

Unless he's been molested by mommy and daddy then he'll probably grow out of it eventually, but some guys keep that shyness until college, so you never know.

This happened to my with my ex-girlfriend. I almost broke up with her at the time. I broke so much shit at my friends house but it didn't matter because he was out of town. It pissed me off.

What you do is just sit there when he's hanging out with his friends and you're there, and he's pissing you off. Look him in the eye and just give him that pissed off look then walk out. He should follow worked for me. Then you have him and do what you want.

I've never utterly ignored a girlfriend around my buddies, but I have politely reminded a couple that I have friends, too, and they need some chill time as well. Are you sure you're giving him enough space?
