Okay, just for future reference to help me out. I seem to be clueless when it comes to guys. If they dont flat out grab my ass I have no idea they even think of me as a female memeber of the species. And even then I am not always sure it wasn't a joke.

so what I am asking for is a general list of things you do when you like a girl, both suddle and not so suddle.

Go through silent mental anguish due to my frustration, which in itself is due to not being able to talk to the girl.

I try(badly) to flirt, Or I try to talk tot hem adn open up to the female, whch later sets me up to feel terrible when I am used.

Isabel, You'll find that with most men, they're too damn shy to say or do much of anything. One thing to note; don't automatically thing "horny loser" if you catch a guy, say, staring at your 38DD breasts. Sure, they caught his eye, but he's also looking other places; for all you know, he admires your face, eyes, lips, shoes, whatever, when you're not looking; and you just happened to catch him looking there. Even at that, he might not be thinking "I want to squeeze those", but rather "wow, I like this girl..she has a cute laugh, a good body (that's the stage you caught him staring at. lol), that interesting little walk", whatever. I'm not sure if I'm making much sense. The more confident among us will give you some sort of cue, which you will be able to pick out, but watch that too, because a lot of that is machismo. There's a happy medium out there somewhere. lol. Hopefully I helped (and made enough sense)

Easier said than done.

all guys do different things when attracted to chicks. they aren't usually very subtle, girls can usually catch them. some guys get really shy or flustered when talking to her. some guys get really flirty, like me. some guys are mean to them, but in a flirty way... hard to describe. depends on the type of guy.

well, ive got this list of stuff, and actually its pretty acurate.

1. He stares at you alot.

ok so i dunno about this one:

2. He hits you alot. (just play hitting )

3. He uses the first thing that pops into his head to start a converstaion with you.

Or this one:

4. He yelled, "Hi!", to your mom that day she picked you up from school.

5. He blew off his buds to go see "Run Away Bride" with you cuz you couldn't get another girl pal to go and didn't want to go alone.

6. He tries to make you laugh anyway even if he gets hurt in the process.

7. His voice gets softer ("Hey, you") when ever you two talk.

8. You hung up on him. He called you back.

9. You where invited by him to a group outing.

10. He called you to talk about nothing at all.

11. He imitates your laugh. OK, you do snort sometimes. Which makes you laugh even harder.

12. He remembers little things you mention in casual conversation.

13. He sometimes stares straight into your eyes.



but the rest are pretty true.......in my experience as a guy

Hey...8s not a load of crap. I have hung up on several guys, and they have all called me back.

Although I am not sure of the situations- cause they were being real assholes at the time One was teasing when I had already been crying for about three hours. I think he was trying to cheer me up and going about it completely all wrong. Anyway, he called me back, apologizing like mad, and then helped me out. I still owe him for that. Cost him $30 in a cab ride, and 14 hours teaching me java for a test the next morning, when he had a project himself.

Alright, I'm going to help you out and tell you a secret, Isabel. MEN DONT THINK! When in the presence of women, men dont think. If they say something, take it at face value, because mens brains stop working when talking to women. Our brains are only capable of doing one thing at a time, if you talk to us our brains are trying to figure out what you meant, not thinking of what we are saying. Women amazze me with their ability to mean so many different things when saying the same thing. If a man says "I think we should do this again sometime" he means he want to spend more time with you. If a woman says it, it could mean one of a million things including "Please leave, I never want to talk to you again."

Also, we men are easily distracted, we dont intentionally say we will call and then never do, we just get distracted. Hell, we could even be sitting and thinking about how awesome our date was, how much we want to see them again, and it will never occur to us to call her unless its in big bold letters ten feet high. Men can become too rapped up thinking "what if?" to even make any attempts to tell you.

So, you want to know how to tell if he likes you, instead of just some jerk looking for an easy lay? Its simple, look for the guy who seems confused, who finds any excuse to be near you. Unless he is an astoundingly well coordinated male, he wont be particularly clever and subtle at first, but as he gets used to deciphering the many layers of female communication he will get it all back.

when i get the hots for a girl....i usually do stuff like...

I always try to get their attention/ get attention from them, if they dont give me enough attention, i sulk...

Jokingly take the piss out of them alot...

like someone said b4, i will got out of my way to spend time with them, and i will remember little things they say....even the smallest compliment will stay in my mind for days....

and as said b4, i will try and invite them out on group outings, esp. if it involves alcohol....

That's how it should be. I wouldn't expect a girl to bend over backwards for me, and she shouldn't expect me to humiliate myself for her.

Yeah, I agree. But I didn't ASK him to come over, he offered. And when it was so late that the busses wouldn't run anymore, I offered to let him stay in my dorm for the night. He refused.

I honestly thought I was toast, because he was the last guy I expected to do that for me. But when he called me back he was all concerned and I kinda let it all out right then.

As for paying him back I have posted before on my dislike of charity. I didn't have the money on me, but I offered him a free movie and dinner- with the person of his choice. I would pay for both.

Other than that, I dont know exactly what I can do for him. Somethin somethin isn't exactly allowed since I am dating someone.

It's true what they said about men not thinking whilst around women. Men act on their guts and that's so easily interpreted by women.

A few things that have stood out as obvious to me are:

They ask you questions about yourself (that will become obvious when you talk to a guy who's NOT interested in you and will talk for hours without asking you a single thing).

They face you when in a crowd of people or group of guys (no matter where the eyes are, the body faces you, and the actions become exaggerated to get your attention).

(Biggest sign here) They remember something you told them about yourself AGES ago ("Hey how's your pet guinea pig doing? Last time, you told me he was sick?")

Isabelle you sound young and free and desirable. If i can offer any advice, please never offer to pay for a man, even one who makes you sick with sympathy. You will become embittered from constantly offering to pay (and having modern man constantly say yes), and eventually guys will ask themselves why you are being so nice).
