Default Fidelity

Okay, I'm a pretty understanding guy, but my girlfriend is vexing me considerably. A couple weeks back, a friend of mine showed me some pictures from a party I couldn't attend. And bam, there's my girlfriend, trying to kiss my buddy (who dutifully rebuffed her). That's some troubling stuff. Then tonight I hear my buddy say something about my girl taking off all her clothes. Assuming it was some kinda smartass remark, I asked him to repeat the statement. To my surprise, she runs up and says "Never mind" and attempts to distract me with her feminine wiles. Now, being a fairly stoic fellow, I resisted her wiles and demanded what the fuck he was talking about. Apparently, at yet another party I couldn't attend, my girl had a few drinks and decided it might be fun to take off all her clothes in front of my (predominantly male) friends. Her friend stopped her, but is it wrong for me to be more than a little concerned here? I mean, if she thinks I'm gonna maintain a relationship with her from college while she's trying to nail my friends - if that's what she's doing - she's dead wrong. What do I do here? Anybody got any tips on how to handle this?

It reallt depends on how much she and the relationship means to you. If you really want things to work out, express your concern. Tell her your problems. If she's not worth it and you don't like her that much anyway, use it as an excuse to break up. There are pleny other chicks that'll be faithful and keep clothed in public.

Here are my suggestions:

1. Go to more parties WITH HER!! This might be her way of getting you there!!;

2. Be happy you've got an uninhibited girlfriend. A lot of guys would probably like to "take her off your hands" if she's too unabashed for you, and if you don't want her anymore.

3. Stripping isn't stupid, unless she uses bad judgment after that. If she is college age, and stays sober, I think she can take care of herself and not do anything stupid. However, if drugs are a part of the picture, ask her to stop doing them (so -- after she strips -- she isn't going to be some guy's unwitting follow-up target).

4. Stop being jealous, and appreciate what you've got. Love, Venus.

Give the slut a "what the fuck is up with.." talking to. Seriously, I would take that as a slap in the face if I were you. If she did it then tried to keep it away from you.... well, put two and two together here.... She was probably trying to get some action.

She could just be getting waaaaay to drunk at parties. I've done loads of stupid things when off my face, it doesn't mean anything.

But, then on the otherhand, it might be something more.

Fuck, what are you doing sitting on t'internet asking for advice, go TALK TO HER!!!

i would have to say that you dump her arse mate!!!

there's nothing worse than a girlfriend who tries it with your buddies.

and if i understand you correctly, you are going to college soon and are wondering if you should break it off.

if i am right in that assumtion, DON'T!!!

you're all the way out there in college while she'll be going to parties without you and laying other guys!

get out of that one dude...she's gonna fuck you over again!

You know, part of the problem here is the goddamn hypocrisy. I'm rather fond of the girl - or was, until very recently - and we're both hardasses about infidelity. When my buddy's girl got caught fooling around, everybody in the gang kinda said "Fuck off" because she did that to our buddy, even though the only verifiable act of infidelity was that she kissed her ex-boyfriend. My girlfriend was as adamant as everybody else, and then she goes and has a few drinks and starts stripping or trying to kiss my buddies.

And for some reason, she keeps reminding ME not to cheat, which is silly. When I went to orientation at my future college and stayed at the dorms, there were a lot of EXTREMELY friendly women there. I spoke with several of them, and all of them knew pretty quick that I wasn't on the market.

And PP, you kinda oversimplify the whole thing. It's not as simple as going to parties with her, as I'm usually not available due to either work or parental bitching. And it's not like it's my fault for not being there to soak up the excess sexual energies. If she wants to go screw around with people at parties, fine, but she should break it off first. I don't think I'm being unreasonably jealous, as I'm just asking the same thing that's asked of me. My girlfriend is only seems "uninhibited" when I'm not there, preferring to soak up my time with endless bitching and shameless compliment fishing ("Am I ugly?" "For the last goddamn time, NO!"). And on both these occasions, she was drinking heavily, which qualifies as drug use in my book, albeit of the socially acceptable sort.

I guess the bottom line is, we need to talk. And I'm kind of getting sick of this shit, so I can't say how understanding I'll be. Stay tuned.

I would say it was not something to worry about, and that she was just drunk off her ass (which maybe isn't a good idea?) except that she tried to keep it from you. If she said "yeah, I got a bit drunk, and I'm afraid I might have tried something on your friend. It didn't mean anything, I'm sorry, it was just the alcohol talking" I might have a different response. But as it is, dump the bitch. She's not worth the suffering that is inevitable.
