love at 15?
My friend has been going out with this one girl for about 6 months, and they talk to weach other like they are going to get married. They tell each other they love each other. Can you actually love someone when you are 15? or if yo have only known them for like 6 months?

Re: love at 15?
I'd don't think love even exists.

Re: love at 15?
Now think about this for a second. Would it really make sense for an emotion to exist that can only be felt by 30+ year olds? The answer is no. If love can be felt at any age, it can be felt at 15 as well.

Re: love at 15?
If a 5 year old can love his dog (and they do!) a 15 year old can love his girlfriend. Love exists in all forms. They might love each other, but the real question is, are they in love with each other? They're different.

Re: love at 15?
what is love anyway?
love's only a feeling...whether it lasts forever or not is a different story altogether.
give your mate a break man...he's happy talking bollocks to the girl he "loves"...let him get on with it...the feeling will go sooner or later!

Re: love at 15?
It ALLL depends on where you live, the area mostly. If u live in a lower class area where there is some crime rate, you know, sluts and a lotta gangstas, you will get pussy at 15---- but if u live at places like me, upper class snobby fucking rich town (blame my parents), you gotta be the biggest jock in the entire highschool (and you need to be drunk at one of their stupid jock parties)

Re: love at 15?
I wouldn't throw the word love around as much as you are. Love should be taken more seriously, in any relationship there's always something that can end it and make each person hate eachother.
As far as the age thing goes, there can be an age on it because you can only understand certain things like this when you're mature enough, and maturity usually comes with age.
If I thought I was in love at 15, i'd keep it quiet, mainly because no-one takes you seriously.

Re: love at 15?
I don't think there is an age barrier on love. I don't even think it is an emotion. I think it is a sense like sight smell hearing etc. and two people can sense that even before they hook up. Once they do sense it in time it is brought out more and more. Sometimes you'll find the person for the rest of your life and lots of other times your sense misled you.

Re: love at 15?
Love? I wouldn't even bother with that. Love blinds you from seeing how the person you are with really is. When I opened my eyes for a bit I realized how much of a bitch my girlfriend was and how much I hated her. I only loved her while I was blinded. It took me three years of my life to open my fucking eyes. Tell your friend to really think about what he is saying when he says it. Becasue he may realize that he doesn't love her at all.

Your friend is in love with being in love, if you know what I mean.

Re: love at 15?
People say "in love" like it's some big great special fucking thing that's soooo different from being in love that only little fucking immature kids get the two confused. Well, I challenge anyone who proposes a difference between love and "in love" to give me a fucking definition of each term. Odds are you're just puking back up what everyone has told you all your life

Re: love at 15?
I think you can be in love at any age. Your definition might change as you gain experience, but at the time in your life, you honestly thought you were in love.
When I was 15 I said I was in love. Do I still think that was love? Absolutely. I've matured and learned more since then. My experience has made it possible for me seek out a deeper meaning to love. Isn't that the point of life? As you get older all of your emotions mature, you learn new meanings of the word "sad". It's just a natural progression in life.
I hate when parents tell their kids that they don't know what love is. That's bullshit. Teenagers question their feelings enough as it is, they don't need someone else putting doubt in their head. Especially doubt about the feeling that comforts them the most.

Re: love at 15?
I actually think the ability to love is stronger at 15, and in the teen years in general. I have *never* loved anyone in my "adult life" the way I loved my first boyfriend. Emotions run high, and the feelings are genuine. I don't doubt it at all.

Re: love at 15?
oooo its possible, i think that relationships are actually a lot stronger and the people in the relationship are A LOT more committed if they are together at an early age. you never know what can happen, they could break up anytime, its just how life goes. but i definetly think it is very possible to like someone so much at that age that you love them because i when i was younger i grew very attached to my gf and i dont know if i loved her, but i am definetly in love with my current gf and i am only 17. i think its great that you can find someone you feel that strong towards at a younger age bc you do go through a lot of shit as a kid. good luck to your friend

I don't believe that. You grow to love people you're around a lot. I love my parents, but I don't think I "sensed" something about them when I was born. You just learn to love what is familiar, you don't have to "feel" anything at first.
And to answer you, GlitterPunk, I think there is a difference between loving someone and being in love with them. I love my brother, but I'm not in love with him. Ew. He doesn't make my head spin when I walk into the room, I don't want to be with him anymore than I'm forced to be. I definitely feel no urgent need to touch him. I wouldn't know, as I've never been in love, but I expect there is quite a difference.
