Is it true that if a woman's pregnant, before her first trimester ends, she can take 6 birth control pills (4 one day, 2 the next) and cause herself to miscarry?

I dunno, I guess the morning after pill is just a strong version of the normal pill, so maybe. I think it only works a v. short time after having sex tho, like 72 hrs. I guess once the placenta starts making progesterone the pills wont have too much effect. Or something.

I imagine MANY different chemicals taken is large quantities could easily make a woman miscarry. as for the birth control pills, I've never heard of that before, but it makes sense that it would work. it would also probably make the woman very very sick.

if it must be done, cough up the couple grand and have it done by someone who knows HOW.

Yep, she can go to the docs and they'll tell her how much to take. It really depends on the kind of pill. Some have both estrogen and progestin(sp?). It does have to be done within 72 hours, otherwise, the chances of it working go down.

You might as well get the morning after pill like Preven. She'll have to start a new pack of pills anyway. (I think).

Its definatly its not a good plan if you are doing it in the middle of the first trimester. If it is during the 2 months, you can get the abortion pill. The abortion pill is not only just to abort the pregnancy, but the second pill leads to uterine contractions, and after that an ultrasound is required to make sure the uterus is fully emptied, and if not, a surgical abortion will be performed.

if you try to abort a pregnancy via pills after more than a couple days, she can end up in hospital, and possibly have to have a hysterectomy, leading to no future children

the doctors costs are really really worth it.

Ususaly taking extra birth control pills is only recomended for the first few days after an 'accident'. After that see a doc.

go to planned parenthood, they can give you advice about this, they're professionals. they can also give you the morning after pills, if you're under 18 then they're free.

See a doctor. Trying stuff your not sure about is not a good idea. It is really dangerous.

Actually, my herb books say peppermint tea will cause miscarriages in pregnent women, but I am unsure as too the accuracy and dosages. It mentions this as a warning against drinking the tea so it wasnt specific on amounts.

if meth will make you miscarry, its not worth a try. Miscarriage isnt fun, and it doesnt always go as planned...Plus, if you dont kill the baby, and you cant get an abortion, you have just possibly ruined the kids life, which is not cool at all. Go to a doctor.

there's also the wire coathanger (partial birth) method, but I don't recomend it.

In many states abortion is free for people under 18, and they don't need their parents consent. If you don't want the baby just do that.

birth control pills, no matter how many you take, will not cause an abortion -> the morning after pill is different, and designed for the purpose of not letter the embryo implant in the uterine wall....

Yes, you can take them. The morning after pill is just a concentrated amount of what's in the pill already. You can take a couple days of the pill but it depends if you have progestin in it or not.

i was reading about abortions and they said in the 1920s, when prostitutes became pregnant, they'd drink large amounts of alcohol constantly and do drugs (coke i believe). it made them miscarry.

also..a another method is drinking bleach? just heard that through an urban legend kinda deal.

i've read alot of sites saying that the coathanger abortions never really took place. like..they're no records of deaths from a coathanger abortion in any U.S. hospitals, or something like that.

okay...ill say it one more time...homemade abortion doesnt guaruntee that you expel the baby. So even if you have successfully execute an at home abortion, you will still have to go see the ob/gyn for an ultrasound, and may have to have further procedures to get rid of any placenta etc. left. So honestly, the money you spend on booze, coke, the ob/gyn, and further procedures is going to possibly just cost more..if you really cant have the baby, then its way worth the money (or in some states, theres not even money involved) to go and get an abortion in a clinic setting.
