Well I have a date. Now i will skip the part on how lovely this girl is and just ask: You guys got any cool ideas for dates ? I mean of course theres always the retro "lets go to the movies" etc. but i mean something special... i dunno what im looking for ^^ maybe just tell me what you like to do on dates -

Well, it depends what type of girl she is...a posh girl would like different things to a punk girl

1.ok...if you;re a cheapo bastard like me, and you stay near a beach or a lake just like me...you're in luck

2. bring her out to try some new exotic food...fuck the chinese noodles and those indian vindaloos ...you can do that any day with any old bimbo..try sth more adventerous like, er...Thai, or Afganistani or Jamaican...Portogese is another good one

3.Don't go in a group and if you meet friends don;t stay too long w. them...make her fell special..ya just wanna spend time with HER...

4. buy a couple of coffees/ice-creams and go to the local park to talk/cuddle..

5. check out the new local art gallery or museum and if you're liek me you probly have a friend working there who can get you in for free on Sundays or shit

6. go to a small diner/coffee place(Starbucks/Tim Hortons??) and buy some muffins and just talk...look at her...just at her...trust me, my first few dates with my gf of nearly a yr was done in a Tim Hortons like this...American Starbucks I guess

7. start the date w. complimenting her...smell...hair...clothes...give her a flower or sth...if you;re too cheap to buy one go pick one from your backyard

8. wear some good perfume, none of that adidas or nike or wtever crap they sell out there,,,that stuff's for your after-sports-too-lazy-to-shower perfume...invest in some Armani, Polo or Versace..

i dont think we have had any girls posts so far, so i am going to put in my girly opinion.

i am a sucker for a romantic date. I have said this a million times in random other posts, but truly cheap and even free dates are great. Go to the park and go for a walk. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and look at clouds. Dance in the rain. Look at the stars. Go to a beach and make sand castles. Take her to a peer that has old arcade games and ice cream. All of that may sound really cheesy or kiddie like, but in my opinion it is great. A nice meal is fun at times, but its really impressive to go on a fun date. If you go to the movies and all that, you dont even get to talk that much. Its just not nearly as fun, and the fun dates make her feel like you actually thought about it rather than you just randomly choose a movie.

By the way...latin...the zoo idea is so cute! i want to go to a zoo.

So what do you guys think about paying for stuff on the first date... of course you could say "wanna go for a drink ?" and obviously theres no problem in paying for that but what about movies or other things that cost slightly more... i mean i could pay for it its not like im the guy looking for a date under 5 dollars... which is also nice and in my mind somewhere - but should you pay for everything on the first date ? nothing ? something ?

girls want equal rights, they get equal costs too. thats my philosophy.

its nice when guys pay. I think it shows respect. Thats one of the reasons i hate feminism. GRRR...If a man is trying to show you that he cares and hes willing to pay for your date, then its not bad to women to accept (sorry to rant...) but, I always offer to pay, because i worry that if i dont they will think i am a bitch.

that is really dependent on age though. If you are younger, money is harder to come by. If you are going to a really expensive place, its awful for the girl to expect you to pay all of it. But if you are in a park and she wants an ice cream, its nice to get it for her.

aight this question is weird but i got some cologne yesterday which is nice (platinum egoiste by chanel) but um... how much do i apply ? i mean its just like the round opening up top - i know that i just press it against my frist and turn it upside down and then rub it to the other wrist my specific question is though, when applying it to my neck do i just rub my wrist also or should i get some more out of the bottle - i dont wanna overdo it

btw guys i called her yesterday and we talked for 4 hours and today we're goin out *happy*

also what about gifts for the first date... roses are too cheesy for me and we're only 15 so it may be a lil extreme... now obviously i should get something that she would like... but i dont know what she would like - you guys know anything that usually hits the spot ?

she can't go out until next week because she hurt her leg at bball practice (she was on cruches (sp?)) the whole time which wasnt a problem but her parents wont let her go out till her leg healed- fuck fuck ! oh well at least i have a week to plan out the perfect date...

if you are 15, dont plan on going anywhere extravagent. if you go to the movies, and you can afford it buy her ticket. And as i said, buy her an ice cream in the park or whatever...depending on where you go.

As for the gifts, roses will be extravagent. First date gifts arent necessary at 15, but if you really want to, why not bring her a couple tulips or daffodils or those things that look like big daisys. they arent quite so "i love you" romantic, versus the hey i like you flowers. I think its cute. But i am kind of dorky in that sense.
