Re: measurements
its the biggest part of the chest, thinnest part of the waist, then widest part of the hips. and the measurments change depending on the person.

Re: measurements
the "perfect" ratio for this is 1:2/3:1
meaning "perfect" measurements, according to height, would be 36-24-36.

Re: measurements
I think a girl's race (ethnicity) might have something to do with it. Those "perfect" measurements you've mentioned must be for Anglo and American girls. I am Southeast Asian (filipina), and I can tell you those measurements aren't average for us!! I'm 5'2", and 34-22-33. I'm pretty typical for a filipina, except for the larger boobs. Love, Venus.

no... you fit the measurements perfectly. 33-22-33 would be 1:2/3:1. you are almost exactly this. as i said, height must be taken into account. you said you're 5'2", 36-24-36 is for someone about 5'7".

Re: measurements
You're right--proportions are the same!! Sorry about my math! It was just the actual 36-24-36 measurements themselves that I was thinking about---they would be extremely rare here Love, Venus.

Re: measurements
Most measurements stated here are ideals, and certainly not the USA average. An average woman (over 25) who is not obese is more like 34-28-40. That would be about a size 8-10. But I'm not average, either (and no, those aren't my measurements.)
36-24-36 is extremely rare, though highly desirable.

Seven-inch waist, huh.
36-24-36 is definitely not the average, but judging by the literal hordes of large-breasted, slim-waisted high-schoolers I keep seeing bounce around (in multiple cities, I might add), we're closing in on that point. It may end up being more like 34-24-34 or so, but still, I don't know how the fuck it ended up that way. I know damn well there wasn't anywhere near that many girls with those kinds of bodies at my high school, and there's no way the number of girls who pad themselves has increased that drastically.

Re: measurements
well, if you want to get scientific, it's got a lot to do with the magic ratio. that's 1:1.61; which is insignifigntly different from 2/3:1 when using inches. the magic ratio is found all over the human body, from the top of your head to your belly button, then to your toes. the length of the eye, compared to the distance between eyes. it's all over the place. it's more or less what determines beauty in the human mind.

Re: measurements
yay for eyesore! way to drag math and the golden ratio into it. Its pretty much wonderful! The proportion is pretty much the same, but measurements change with time.
