Default Pride and the X

Ive recently broken up with my girlfriend, and it was quite a bitter split. I sill love her, and she says she still loves me, but I won't get back with her because i am a stubborn sod and too proud. Since we broke up shes been hanging around with older people and it seems like shes trying to get at me. When we are together we have rough patches, but ive spoken with her tonight and things seem ok. I don't know what to do. Ive got another girl on the go if i need her, but thats irrelavent really. I do love her but i dont know what to do. Id appreciate if people didnt tell me how much of a twat i am. There must be people out there that are like me. Id like sone decent advice if there is any. Cheers

There are far worse things to give up than pride. If the two of you genuinely love each other, or at least care for each other, than both of you need accept what's happened and either move on or get back together. Considering the love is still there, I somewhat recommend getting back together. If the split was as bitter as you say than both of you could still harbor resentment over that, which won't necessarily go away when you get start a relationship again. Although, that's nothing a good talk won't fix up, I'm sure.

^ i agree, but why did you split in the first time. If you split because of a big unfixable problem, and it will just be the same, dont get together again. It will just end up hurting you both But if the reason you split was something menial or something that the two of you can fix, swallow your pride and get together. But listen to xenosss and talk to her!

i was just in this same situiation, my advice is to stay away. because it will cause more problems between you two. i got back wit my babys momma cuz i love her and we ended up hating each other for a while, we are cool now but dont let that shit eat you up its not wirth it. and your probly young too, so there will always be more women out there. move on man if you want to keep her in your life.

We broke up because of a lot of things. Im far too stubborn, like most people jus agree with the missis to shut her up, i cant. Whenever we have an argument I get upset, then angry (im seeing a councillor about that), but were both stubborn so we wont talk to eachother for a few days. Im not saying its all bad, its just when things go bad they go bad properly. Still dont know what to do. I spoke to her today, and she says she still loves me, but i cant get hurt again. hmmm.....

i will say one thing about your situation, if you love your ex as much as you say you do... then get rid of the girl on the side.

Its not fair on your ex, on you or on the girl herself.

If things are liable to end up the same way, don't do it.. but that doesn't mean don't keep an open mind towards the possibility later on. You might even use it as motivation towards getting your head together.
