My Words of Wisdom
I have started to notice that a lot of my posts in this forum are really familiar. I keep on preaching the same thing and repeating myself just changing it to adapt to the situation at hand. I decided to write my "Words of Wisdom" Some of you may agree and others may not. comments are more than welcome.
--------------
Decisions:
Most questions and problems are different. But they all have one similarity between them. That similarity is that the probelem or question is like a fork in the road. One option takes you right through the bitter hard truth and to the solution. The other is the easier way that takes a detour around the problem at hand. The easier seems appealing because the surface of the road seems smoother. However as this road goes along it twists and turns avoiding the problem untill you eventually get lost and can't find your way back. Sometimes you find your way to the answer and other times you find your way back to the start.
The question I ask is after thinking about that which answer in the long run do you really think is the best? I have a phrase that I like to say and it goes "The fear of never knowing is greater than the fear of failing" Would you rather live your life not knowing what could have been if only you had not been scared to do/try/say something? If in the end the bitter truth is not the answer you wanted. It has to be better than wasting time following a maze of deceit and lies only to never find out the answer.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if you are faced with a question of wether or not you should do something. Just do it. What have you got to loose? If you try and fail then you are no better off than you were before. You have actualy gained some experience that can help you out in the future. If you don't take the chance because of fear of failing than you are always going to wonder "what if"
You can't sit back and watch from the sidelines if you want to score a goal. You need to put the ball in play and face the challenges that await. It is up to you but if you choose to sit and watch the game while everyone else is playing than you are worse off than the person who took the challange and may have lost becaue at least he can live with knowing that he gave it is all.
--------------
Relationships
There are countless decisions you must make in the course of a relationship. This all goes along with what I said above. The thing to understand is that no one will ever completely agree or take the same exact road as the other person. The key is to know and understand that to each his own and that little things are not worth ending it over.
I see all to often a couple get into a fight and break up in result of it. Only to forget what the fight was about in the first place. Now I don't see where this makes any sense. Yes all couples fight but that doesn't mean that you can't also compromise. Working together as a team makes you stronger than trying to control one and other.
What you know about someone is not nearly as important as what you feel about them. Love is an emotion so why would you try and control it with thinking? You have to listen to your gut instict and follow your heart. Only use your mind to balance them. Any one that has ever told you to keep your head out of the clouds has obviously never experienced flying away from the ground. Let love take you away but remember what goes up must come down however the landing will always be easier together.
Honesty and trust go hand in hand you can't have one with out the other. So if you want to have a trusting relationship than you must be honest. Don't be afraid of the truth because that is the only way to knowing. If the truth comes between you then it wasn't meant to be. It is better than having to manuever through a bunch of lies and secrets if you don't let the other person know you completely then you will never know if the other person loves you for you.

Re: My Words of Wisdom
^^Well, Mr. Grumpy, it is less annoying than folks starting up new threads with the same ol' topics.
Threads drop down the pages quickly around here, and anything beyond the first page gets forgotten and goes unseen by those who just browse occasionally.

When you get bored and are an insomniac, you tend to do anything that will pass the time, for example, "bumping threads" as the saying goes.
If it annoys anyone, then I apologise.
If you don't accept my apology then stick your head up your arse and don't stop until you get to the back of your teeth!!!
P.S: That was to anyone who doesn't accept...Not Eyesore in particular!
