Yes, somehow re-registering totse.com got overlooked. It's been taken care of now, but Network Solutions may take up to 48 hours to repoint DNS service to the correct location.

In the meantime I've enabled totse.net and totse.org. Please spread the word that these two domains will work while totse.com is being repointed. Especially let the folks in the chat rooms know.

Hey I just thought of that. Maybe Jeff did this on purpose. The expired domain name so he would have something to post about. Kinda like a Christmas present for us.

Hey Jeff, when are you gettting the donate button up? I know you won't reply to this post but I figured I would give it a shot.

When I first saw that totse was down I wasn't so worried because it has been down for me before. Usually down for 20 minutes or so then back up. This time it was down for a whole 30 minutes and wasn't up so I decided to try .net and it worked so I was happy.

What would we do without totse? I know if totse was gone so would my life.

When I decided to visit TOTSE yesterday and saw this (http://www.totse.com) , I thought to myself "Well, I'm glad that's over with." Then I remembered all those countless Summer hours I spent here, hoping they weren't wasted. As I understand it, TOTSE has been around since pre-internet times. It was nice being part of that history if only for 3 or 4 years. But not to worry, Sir Jeff Hunter has everything under control, from stopping 30,000 people from murder/suicide.

Hahaha... yeah, if Totse died, a little of all of us addicted Totseans would die. Anyways, I agree with cronic, we need a donate button, after all, a lot of Totseans and I, much rather donate money than buy a crappy t-shirt of a stupid mug.

Just now I clicked on the Totse logo on a topic page in order to go to the homepage, and I got a message saying that the security certificate could not be verified for some reason. When I checked it, it mentioned "Temple of the Screaming Electron", instead of "&Temple of the Screaming Electron", like I thought it should be named.

Is this legit or isn't it ?

Slightly different issue, but:

Firefox:

"You have recieved an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information:

Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number."

It's self signed, so this shouldn't be hard to fix...

Yeah, I get that.

Annoying, as I can't use https, yet need to in order to post (ntls transparent proxies have all been blocked, https connections don't route through the proxies); can use a proxy but just a bit awkard.

Yes indeed, totse is very educational, it probably has a lot of government officials on it, and it does have a website dedicated to its own business (www.tshirthell.com).

But what's next? TOTSE TELEVISION

Jeff Hunter, or whoever the hell is in charge of totse.

Why won't you seriously upgrade the forums?

People could use stickies for once.

A private message system where you allow who talks to you would be a nice feature.

Also knowing who is allowed to message you and who you are allowed to message would be an awesome feature. Making this board one of a kind.

I'm tempted to build my own forum and just invite all people to come over there.
