stars
If we look outside our window at night we can see stars. But isn't that stars are like 10 light years away from us. that would mean that the star that were looking at is pointing on the other side of the earth. Or it could of exploded and we dont even now it yet. Since the light takes that long to come to us. Just wondering. am I just blabbering away on stuff I dont really know what Im talking about?

The closest star other than the sun to us is way farther than 10 light years, and i have no idea what your talking about.

Re: stars
I think he's saying that stars can be doing anything right no and we wouldn't know because we see the stars as they were thousands of years ago.

Oh yes, it takes that many light years that the star is away for its light to reach earth. For example if the star was 1000 light years away we wouldn't know if it exploded or whatnot for another 1000 years.

Re: stars
I remeber reading that if we look far enough in any direction we could see the beginning of the universe ( although i dont get how we could get here before the energy) but in a relative way we sort of are the center of the universe

No it isn't, its actually closer than 10 light years. Proxima Centauri is 4.22 light years distant.
