Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
Dude, wtf. It's only interesting because someone somewhere believes they can stop time eith their mind.
The Butterfly Effect as a MOVIE, not real life.

Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
The fact that you have to go through such a ritual just to stop time, and time will not stop otherwise unless you do this such ritual, shows that there's a perfectly resonable explanation for this.

http://www.grasshopper.com/category/mind-games/ thats actualy a better link if you just scroll down it explains it. and everything is a ritual at first, but with practice perhaps you could do it naturaly. just think about it, you could think about stuff for hours in a matter of minutes.

Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
I was looking at the clock on the website and my clock at my desktop changed from 12 :05 to 12:00. How did the clock on website get my time on my computer?

Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
I remember an ad for a cereal. It said Look at these red cereal pieces for 15 seconds. Now look at the black dot at the bottom for 5 seconds. After you blinked, the cereal pieces magically rearranged themselves around the dot, except in a different colour. (Green)
Now if I didn't look at the red cereal pieces and just skipped straight to looking at the dot, nothing would have happened. If I didn't look 20 minutes ahead and just stared at the second hand, the hand WILL NOT STOP.

Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
Look, there is evidence that you can think faster. However this is a usually involves intense fear, and is accompanied by a variety of other effects, such as the heart speeding up. You know how some people say they saw an accident in slo-mo?
You cannot do this for extended periods, even if you could willfully control it.
I assume this only happens for short times because your brain can't opperate overclocked for very long.
Seriously neurons need a certain amount of time to reset. Push them too hard for more than a short period, and there will likely be damage.

It asks your computer for it. Your computer downloads the code and runs it on your computer.

Re: check this out, can we realy stop time
Now just gotta figure out how to make it go backwards!
But yeah, its not as much stopping time, as it is distorting your perception of it.

Doesnt this also happen when, say, you pilot a vehicle at high speeds. your reflexes improve and you think faster. maybe if we could trick our brains to think this needed to happen (drugs?) we could control it.
