Default PCB tatoo

well, for about a year now i've been wanting to get the top half of my arm down to my elbow tatooed useing a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design. i've seen some really nice designs, on one of my pc's motherboards for example, unfortunatly i think it would be a bit foolish to turn up at a tatoo artist with a motherboard and ask him to recreate the design on my arm and have had trouble tracking down such designs as they are closely guarded. what i'm looking for is a central design either circular or square (got a few ideas of what to put in this area) with the circuit tendrils spanning out apropriatly each tendril should be ended in one of those circles that are used to intersect layers.

now comes the question: where can i find such designs or where i can find a free program that i can create them in bearing in mind i have no idea what goes on on a circuit board never mind how to design one. i have looked on google but i can't seem to find any suitable designs, has anyone or anyone you know had any tatoos similar to this? did they look good?

cheers, dub.

i have a guy in Edinburgh that did one on my back that i'm more than happy with and he's done some really nice work on some of my freinds. i breifly ran the idea past him a while ago but he said i'd have to get some designs from somwhere as he's never done anything like that before and he's not that tech minded so can't really invisage what i want.

I don't see why you couldn't just bring in a board, why would you feel foolish doing that? Just check with the guy first to see if he could work with that.

well, alot of tattoo artists like haveing an actual design to work from and not just a peice of hardware such as a motheboard, plus if i did take the board in he would have to make a desing himself from the board and i would prefer to have something that i bring in and am completely happy with rather than something that gets made up by someone else after being given a concept that their not familiar with. i would like an exact design for the guy to work from rather than his interpritation of what the design looks like. i know alot of people just let the artist go ahead and do what they feel would look right and thats fine, its just not for me.

this is the closest or should i say only thing i've managed to find thats even remotely similar to what i want tendril/line wise but i haven't yet found anything located around a central design. i'm also considering designs along this angle but am still unsure whether they look all that good.

if you bring in the board and the artist cant work with it, find a new artist. hes not skilled and you dont want him inking ya.

learn to draw. make the pattern yourself and just continually rework and tweak it till you get it the way you want and bring that too him.
