The gym won't do that much good. Lifting your own body weight is what works. Just learn some Yoga techniques.

Xenadrine is real good, hydroxycut is too. I say HC is best for actual fat burning, but Xenadrine is a bit better for energy. What kind if physique do you have? Are you taller and slender or shorter and fatter. Because if you are just trying to get ripped its hard, a lot dependent on your metabolism. Also do you have a lot of muscle to begin with? Give us some more info.

Re: Diet Pills...which one works best? (OTC)
Almost all the diet pills that will actually make you lose weight do so because they contain ephedrine - which does funky things to your heart so you burn more calories.. everything else in the pills (such as caffeine) is usually intended as appetite suppressants etc..
Hydroxycut contains both ephedrine and hydroxy-citric acid, which according to someone I know is one of the more effective drugs, which doesn't hurt in the same way as ephedra..
If you're going to take any of these things, please be aware of the risks you're taking. I would recommend that you do NOT take them for a prolonged period of time, and NEVER take more than the recommended maximum dose. At the most, you should use them as an adjunct to a healthy weightloss program that involves a decent calorie controlled diet (that's what makes you lose weight, restricting the calories you consume.. the actual content of your diet is less important in that regard) and most importantly exercise.. you are never going to have the body you want without exercise..
Use the pills to give you motivation, to help you along, but be careful. Know what you're taking and what the risks are, and if you feel any ill effects (pounding heart, nausea, lack of sleep) CUT BACK.

What have you heard about Trim-Spa? I'm wondering when those people taking it will keel over. Or if the moment you stop taking it the weight comes right back.

Trimspa has more crap in it than I care to list. For info go to trimspa.com I don't sell it or use it. First heard it advertised on Howard Stern. I'm leary but also looking for magic in a pill. I haven't been able to diet or exercise regularly since 1989. I know that is the way to go but.... they have a evaluation page for you to fill out and after they recomend products. Stuff is expensive. They do have 2 types: with or without ephedra. Also supposed to be patented, but wasn't snake oil patented once as well?

Save some money. Take a Bronkaid tablet, an asprin, and a big cup of coffee, and you've got the main ingredients in most of the diet pills.

Re: Diet Pills...which one works best? (OTC)
Diet pills suck! They can increase your heart rate so much (in some instances) that you could go into an extreme form of shock where your body forgets how to keep beating the heart and how to breath. In my experience, there isn't a magic pill (don't you think if there was, that EVERYONE would be using it???) Most diet pills are diuretics, meaning they make you pee a lot. You are only loosing water weight, which, ironically, is what you will need when ACTUALLY loosing weight. Most will no doubt show immediate, short term results, but you run the risk of dehydration, rapid heart beat, shock, over-dosing, and of course, gaining all that weight back and then some when your body adjusts. If you don't have much time for exercise and don't fair well with diets, drink lots of water and grapefruit juice. Eat celery. Do anaerobic exercises like lifting weights or sit ups to gain strenght. Also, chromium picolinate will keep lean muscle from being used, so your body will resort to fat. But really....don't use any sort of diuretic or aphedrine based diet pills... I'll just end up dealing with you in the freaking ER in a couple weeks when you lost all of your body's water, etc. I hate having to deal with that sht, its time consuming and well...stupid. I won't lie...the nurses sit there and talk about how stupid you are.... we're mean.....

Re: Diet Pills...which one works best? (OTC)
Yes, there is no magic dug (perfect drug? lol) to make you lose weight. I when from 240 to 225 in 3 months this summer by just getting a fucking job! Yes, 15 pounds doesnt sound like much for 3 months, but it was just from getting off my ass for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Hell, I ate crap then too, eggs for breakfast, KFC for dinner, and ice cream every Friday! Its amazing that i lost anything at all when you think of that. Anyways, I say just run for an hour everyday, drink lots of water, cut down on fried food/fat, and you'll melt fat in no time. When 1 hour gets easy, go to two! But if you get exhausted or burn out, jut it to half an hour, or run every other day. Bring music, the running will go by faster. If you ran an hour+, every day, and laid of the fried shit, you'll lose 20 in a month, easily! Ps, if you think your just fat with no muscle, youll be surprised how ripped you look when your muscles develop too!

What the hell are you talking about? How do you think huge guys get like that, (whether they use steroids or not) eating their wheaties? A gym is one of the best things you can do if your trying to build muscle, lose weight, increase cardio or all.

Re: Diet Pills...which one works best? (OTC)
You need to work out more. The dietary supplements are pretty much intended for extremely obese people.
You should work out. You don't need to go to the gym. Work out at home. Do push-ups, sit-ups, squats and stretch. Run as well. If you do this, you will feel better and will shed a few pounds.
Now, don't think that since your doing this that it is ok to open that bag of UTZ or what have you. Proper diet is important as well.
Here is a link for a health food store that you may want to look at. On the site there is a search engine that you display dietary supplements.

You don't need to go to the gym. Work out at home.
"Dietary supplements" does not mean Weight Loss Supplements. Even so, weight loss supplements are not for EXTREMELY obese people. Of course they will be most effective the more obese you are, but anyone can use them and get desierable results. I'll say though that 90% of them are crap. You dont NEED to go to a gym. You can work out at home. But peronsonally I feel a gym is THE way to do it. For many reasons. 1. You have a place to be at a certain time. Its like an appointment in your daily scduele. Believe me, I've tried working out at home but when you see that bench 10 times a day you, you'll put it off and say "In a bit" but, you watch The Simpsons. 2. You will probally have a buddy you go with. This way it like you have a responsibility to live up to a a little competition, in a positive way. 3. Motivation and inspiration. Any gym you pay to will kick any home gym's ass. And when you see the huge guys benching 300lbs thats positive for your mentality. A gym just beats being in your basement.
