The stone of Scone was what the Scottish Kings were crowned upon. Edward I took to England and It sits in the Coronation Chair, though I read something about it being returned.

Re: scotish nationalists
Here's some trivia for you: The Blarney Stone (of Cork County Ireland fame) was once part of the Stone of Scone. The historical significance of the combined stone, is that this stone was the one the bible refered to as the one that Jacob rested his head on when he had the vision of Jacob's ladder.

I believe you will find it in the Annals, and possibly The Song of Amergin. Though it may be just a legend.

it was returned and is in scotland now(edinburugh i think) but when Charles is crowned they will take it back to england because he will laso be the king of scotland, thanks to robert the bruce "taking over" england and then pretty much becoming england. anyway, supposedly when they come for the stone the scotish nationalists will be waiting for them. PS i just found out that the welsh also really hate the english.

Re: scotish nationalists
They weren't originally a part of England either. If you notice, you will see that Edward I was the main driving force behind ruling the entire island. Ireland was invaded by 1170, but Irish Culture absorbed the conquerers enough that they might as well have never come. Elizabeth I Invaded due to Spain aiding Ireland, and might have lost except for the Battle of Kinsale.

Re: scotish nationalists
All the home nations (Scotland, Ireland, Wales) really hate the English. At least when it comes to football, rugby ect

They don't hate the English as much as Scotland and Northern Ireland. Only 25% of the Welsh voted for a welsh parliament. England and Wales are the closest nations in the UK
