I'm from Cambridgeshire, England.
I never defended the UVF. The only thing that can be said in defence of loyalist terrorists is that they only exist because of Republican terrorists.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
No, the British media can publish what they like, apart from information clssified under the National Secrets act. Of course, the British media generally has a pro-British bias, but that's because it's aimed at the British people

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
no in programms like insight it does not show all the facts. For example in the caseof the para that shot 3 kids joyriding in a car. The program in the north shows in the base that they made a car and hanged models out of the car and put bollons on it it. and stuck a big sign on it saying "bulit by ford stopped by the paras"
He was released in britain 3 years early but u never seen that in the base will u mite have seen everything else in the program
and other things are censored too

and the IRA only exists because of the british troops. the ones that INVADED. yes, many years ago, about 600 years ago. and the irish have been fighting them ever since for the most part.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
The Provisional IRA represent the will of a minority group. The Real and Continuity IRA represent only themselves. If they ceased to exist, sectarian violence would cease to exist.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
The Real and Continuity IRA represent people who prefer indiscriminate violence to diplomacy. Show me a citizen of Eire who supports their action and I'll show you ten who don't.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
There's a difference between electing a political party and supporting a policy of murder and violence continued by splinter groups only tangentially related to the party.

Anyone who kills when there is a democratic solution is a murdering cunt.
The only time killing is acceptable is when democratic solutions are not available e.g. WWII

You used the word democratic twice.
I wonder if the Muslims would agree?

there is never a democratic solution in an occupied territory. i think perhaps you mean to say 'peaceful' solution.

I think they should focus on the British military and the police. Personally, I support their political goals, and believe they have the right to self-determination.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
I've had a chance to talk with members of both sides of "the troubles". And the english are not squeeky clean by a long shot. Years ago an Irish lad came upon a weapons cache the IRA had tucked away in the country side. Being the good people they were the authorities were called and without telling anyone, an S.A.S team was sent out to put the cache under surveilance. The boy was curious and went back to see if the weapons were still there, and was mowed down in a hail of gunfire. The sas said he fired at them and nothing else came of it! If this was your son or brother how would you feel? I realize this is no excuse to set off bombs in a crowd of people, but i can relate to the way the IRA feels.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
The Japanese did not attack pearl ahrbour. The Irish did not bomb manchester town centre whilst I was shopping. The people do not bomb anything. Others bomb things and then attempt to either claim it on behalf of the people or canvass the people to support it. Terrorists and governments are one and the same in that they end the lives of others for their own interests. They both usually hold up a dinky little bit of cloth as an excuse too. The IRA are freedom fighters? - Bualadh craicinn pg mo thn.

Re: Do u like Irish Republician Army??
By the way this does not mean I am automatically a loyalist. Its true Im British but thats forced on me through documents and by a government Im forced to, but would rather not recognise. however the day I go out and blow up innocent civilians is the day I lose all faith in my own judgement.
The IRA are no longer freedom fighters in that theyre a bunch of drug dealing gangsters who need a cause to keep public support much like the UDA/UVF. (Thats not even talking about the Real IRA, I wont even start with them)
Both sides in NI have become entrenched in a nationalistic struggle in which neither is fighting for freedom to be who they are.
...Theyre fighting to impose who they are on others.

I probably know even less. Its a phrase I picked up from a friend whose strong enough in his beliefs to actually bother learning his own language. Just means roughly "my fucking arse". I love (irish) gaelic swearwords.
