Your question is based on the Mayan calender. I'm not sure of the specific date (yours may be correct). The Mayan calender ended at such a date and they believed that that was the end of time, or a least was as far ahead as they wished to calculate time.
Are you asking is this the end of the universe, or the end of human time? We humans can cease to exist at almost any time, while a continuation of the universe would still be in effect. However there would be no one left to mark the passage of such "universal" time. (Unless ya believe that aliens can tell time)!

The end times are definetly near. Osama bin Laden is clearly the 3rd anti-christ prophecised by many such as Daniel in the old testament, John in the book of revelations, Nostradamus in his centuries quatrains and various others. The 7 trumpets written of in revelations have not yet blown. I predict each of the 7 trupmets will be major natural disasters or weapons of mass destruction being seen in use. Examples could include the huge magma chamber under Yellowstone park which is swelling everyday now due for a super-volcanic eruption. Others include comet/meteor/asteroid impacts with earth. Perhaps nuclear/chemical/biological weapons being used in war. Another theory prophecised is that of planet X original conceived by the Sumarians many thousands of years ago. All these events should take place before the Rapture after which the Messiah will return and satan will be banished to where ever for 1000 years.

Well lets wait and see. OOOH I better get my popcorn and my remote ready.

Well look at it this way. If you follow the Bible, then it means that Satan is gonna be imprisoned for a 1000 years, after which he will be let out to deceive the Earth. That means we still have at least 1000 years left as a species.

Not nessessarily since it isnt said anywhere that we humans will still be around after satan is released. Another point I forgot to mention was that Nosradamus actualy gave a date of the end of the world in hi prophecies but its suppos to be in like 3979 I think. I forgot the exat date but Iknow it was said to be in the late 4th mellenium.

It talks about the 1000 years in revelations, specifically chapter 20.

Why doesn't God just kill Satan. If that happened then that would show that we really don't have free will. It's just like asking why God didn't just stop the terrorists from killin so many people. The question here is why did God create Satan when he knew that Satan was gonna go against him.

I think those two names refer to the four corners of the Earth.

why is osama the anti christ? is it just because he waged war on the US? is that your defining case. that he attacked america. all he did after he attacked america was defend his actions and then displayed his followers were willing to die for his cause. people always die in war.

You missed out one though, there is an island called La Palma which could collapse into the sea causing a mega-tsunami which would destory much of the eastern coast of the americas.

Actually it isn't 24/5/2010 its 22/12/2012 good guess though.

We've also forgot about major earthquakes. I read somewhere that in the Bible code, LA is suppose to be anihilated in 2010. I dont know how reliable the Bible code is or what prophecies have been fulfilled yet and which havent but I thought it would be interesting to note regardless.
