Limited EMP
How would one go about creating a very limited EMP, without having to detonate something as suggested in a document somewhere on totse.

How limited, and to what ends?

Re: Limited EMP
Conventional EMPs are the size of large trucks. Not small.
If you just want to mess with strong magnetic fields or massive electrical charges, then there are other devices you can use.
So be specific. Not "stuff"...

Re: Limited EMP
If you wanted to do it with a stun that would fry circuts, mabey a microwave could do it to.

Re: Limited EMP
ok, basically Im trying to make something that fries circuitry and magnetic stuff, it doesnt matter if its single use only and only has a short range...I know its evil but its for an experiment

Re: Limited EMP
A shot off of a Tesla coil will fry most any circuit in existence. A Van de Graaf generator works a bit more subtly, but that ionized air can build up huge charge imbalances and toast CMOS and other sensitive things.

Re: Limited EMP
hummmm try this..... it might knock out a watch or something maybe.....
BATTERY | | | /-switch | | CAPICITOR(bigger the better) | | | /-switch 00000000-coil of thin gauge wire (wrapped around a pencil or something circular.
in theory how this would work is you flip switch one to charge the cap. then tur off switch 1, posistion the EMP and throw switch 2 to discharge the energy of the cap through the coil of wire (sorry about the shitty ASCII)
