For what its worth, my Mom sent this to me a while back, don't know if it works, haven't needed it yet.

1 Quart of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
1 tsp. Liquid Soap

"Skunk essence is made of sulfur molecules. The materials in the recipe, when mixed together form an alkaline peroxide that chemically changes the skunk essence into sulfonic acid; a completely odorless chemical. Mix the solution when you are ready to use it and do not store."

That was all that was on the card, I assume you mix it all together and either spray it on or just soak in it. If somebody tries this please let me know if it works.

Tomato juice knocks it down, it doesn't take it out. This was more of a 'how to get it off your car' versus off your dog. Only use this if you want to take all the smell off.

Makes perfect sence, chemicaly speaking.

I find it interisting that skunks evolved a gland that sprays the 3 most oderiforus chemicals known to man.
