is that a strictly science fiction thing or could it be possible?

How could you go back in time because whatever you go back in, would of been made in the past therefore it would fall apart going back in time. If that makes sense?

On the other hand you can sort of go back in time if you travel backwards faster than light directly away from the earth, because the light from 1 minute ago wouldnt of reached you so you would still be watching the light from the minute before...hmm. If you were watching a clock that was on earth it would go backwards.You would have to have a giant telescope to look at the earth when you were going backwards...quite impossible with todays tecnology.
