Default When will 'they' hurry up & develop cold fusion?

I'm joking of course, I know scientists can't just wake up one day & said "ok I'll develop cold fusion today", but how is progress in this area going?

From where they were in the beginning advancements have been made but things aren't going quickly.

The temperature at which fusion is possible has been brought down some, depending on what atoms are used, but what could be considered actual "cold fusion" is still a long way off.

Cold fusion is a long way of yet. Nobody can seem to make any progress or even the simplest of breakthroughs. This area is only very young still and still has a fair way to go.

Scientist have made a fusion power point but a temperature of over 100 million degrees is needed to stabilise it but nothing on earth can withstand that heat.

here is a link about the current thinking about cold fusion.
