You now have to pay a fee to broadcast on the net.
Congress passed a law that requires you to pay a monthly royalty fee of around $7.00 a month to be able to broadcast. This affects the small broadcasters more than the bigger stations. Becaose unless you have a solid revenue plan. Fee structures and regulations will be set so strictly that only large corporate broadcasters will be able to afford the physical and legal fees to broadcast, and small webcasters will be forced into underground pirate broadcast stations. I think the fee should be based on station performance instead of the small broadcaster having to pay every month just to play some music for their friends. For more info on the law that was passed check out www.live365's website. Or search for info on, United States Librarian of Congress concerning the Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel's recommendations for usage fees of copyrighted materials. (CARP ruling)

The FCC won't be able to govern webcasting. Look how far postage on e-mail got the PO...

This law won't last.

I hope...
