With long running series' such as Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft all selling shed loads worldwide 4 many years and even holding records for sales. Battle.net is the most popular online gaming server and now there producing World of Warcraft and SC2. i think that Blizzard are one of if not THE best games producers. N e takers?

first of all, sc:ghost isnt sc2. but they are a great company. i have almost all their games, and am very good at diablo and SC. i dont know about the best though. CnC series and RA2 (not yuri though) by westwood are great games.

Electronic Arts (EA) makes the best games (in my opinion)

EA Doesnt make them, they distribute them. EX: Westwood makes CNC games but they distribute them through EA.
And westwood makes the most playable RTS games ever. I like blizzards games but it takes too damn long to build anything and I cheat my way through now. CNC there are no cheats (it doesnt need them) but its very fast paced and more to my style.

from what i heard there are two new starcraft games. Ghost which will be on xbox in probly PC (FPS) and Starcraft2, the sequel to the original strategy games.

EA is the umbrella heading to practically the biggest gaming company, i was suprised to find out how much they owned...i agree they are damn good and im a fan of the red alert series.

Starcraft: Ghost is for consoles only. They didnt announce a sequel to Starcraft yet, but they hint at it all the time. They also said that they definately intend on revisiting SC on the PC, but they aren't doing anything with the title as of right now.

oh cheers, didnt know if it was comming out on PC although i did doubt it. on WC3 if u complete it they show u a video of a 3d starcraft style teaser, looks good as ever but i dunno if its sc:ghost or sc2...

I don't like stratagy games so I don't like blizzard.

For console, I feel Nintendo is the best game developer.

EA and Rare are close.

Rare had some amazing games.

All on nintendo systems they owned.

Blizzard on the other hand made the best game ever possible. Starcraft so they just to be on the top of the list cuz SC owns.

Someone please tell me why Blizzard would NOT make a Starcraft 2. Starcraft is the most popular and widely played RTS today.

It is still selling. It is one of the top sellers. Why the fuck would they not come out with another one. The reason they arent is because people still buy starcraft today.

Blizzard once was the best game producer, back in '97 when they came out with Diablo. However, that was a thing of the past. Blizzard games are thoroughly lacking in origianality and replayability. Why would they not make a SC2? They probably will, and many people will be suckered into buying it, but it won't be a good game, unless they turn around majorly. Soon, their 3 staple game bases, WC SC and Diablo, are going to become old and worn out(they already have IMO). They need to step away from the old themes and make new games. Blizzard once was a pioneer of gaming but is now simply grasping on the wispy threads of old.

nah, in terms of best all-round game company, it's a toss between Nintendo, Sega, Namco, Treasure, Polyphony Digital, and Konami.

Perfect dark is overrated. You are right when you say WC3 is weak and that SC2 will probbly suck. I didn't think D2 was that bad, but when your bored and you've played it way too many times, the only thing you still like are the cinimatics. I want the diablo DVD.

Blizzard is probably the best software company ever, or why else would i still play Starcraft and diablo 2 on my computer that's capable of running gta3, ect...

I didn't really like WC3 because A. it was too short B. it was to easy C. it didn't nearly good as plot as SC D. I like the whole Sc-Fi thing more then DnD type.

Diablo 2 was like a MMORPG that wasn't that made the game crap.

Warcraft 2 was crap compared to Warcraft 1, I love that mode were you have you escape from a dungeon.

Underrated, actually. this from a person who rented it for a week on a borrowed system, and I must admit, that's the only reason to own a N64. 2 player with the X-ray gun and knife, with 8 other bots, hoo-wee! the sniping fuckin rules!

bullshit. the graphics are more detailed, the characters actually talk, the levels are more varied and cooler, the weapons are WAY sweeter, the blood effects are way better (splatter the walls!) and the controls made me realize that the N64 controller is PERFECT for FPS's. everything works perfectly. and mounting tripod guns and watching the other fools get torn up positively rocks!

I have perfect dark. Has none of the charisma of Goldeneye. The character sucks, the freaky doctor-in-a-computer sucks, the multiplay is slightly fun, the graphics are not as clear and often blend, the lighting is murderous, especially in the blue or red lighting way too intense.

Red faction 2 for PS2 is prett awesome. I only played multiplayer, but that game was intense.
