hi there,

i just recently attained a ps2 and i have a few good games, but i'm wondering what the best ones are that i'm missing out on right now. i have final fantasy x, grand theft auto 3 (i need to get vice city, i know), and tekken 4. what other essentials do i need to get?

I used to have a PS2 and my favourite games were...

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 (probably best to get 4 now)

Gran Turismo 3 (becomes very very addictive once you get into it)

There's probably more but mind gone blank, i'll edit if I think of some.

i just got tom clancys ghost recon (ps2) for christmas, great game. but i have played it for about 6 hours already and i have barely mastererd the controls yet. it will take you about 2 hours just to get them all down pat,they are very odd. and the first person shooter view is a little hard to learn, but once youve learned them it is no doubt one of the best games released on the ps2. the fright of hiding behind a thin wall with a sniper when there is 4 guards and a ginourmous tank that dont know your there on the other side is somthing i have never experienced on any game ever.

he's talking about playstation 2. not PS1. you need a PS1 mem card to save ps1 games on PS2.
and area 51 sucks, I've played it in the arcade, and it was terrible. time crisis 2 would be a better light gun shooter for PS2.

as for more good games, vice city, Metal gear solid 2, and virtua fighter 4. and rygar. and devil may cry. and half life (re-done and added modes since the PC version. the controls are nicely done for this version, surprisingly.) also need for speed: hot pursuit 2. and red faction... you get the idea.

u speak the truth, uve got good taste. all the above + hitman2 and probably Tomb Raider6 when and if it comes out.

thanks. I heard the new TR is pretty good, at least better than the older, crappier ones.
