| Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more! |

Question about NES rom emulators
Okay, every sight that I go to, I click on the rom that I want, and it says that the page can't be found. Does anybody know how to get around this? Or do you have any sites that you go to that work pretty well? It's really fucking annoying that it can never bring up the roms I want. If anybody knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanx.
Johnny

Re: Question about NES rom emulators
Ya, well the problem you are talking about is the site having broken links. Nintendo tried to crack down on illegal copies of their games even though they are barely in circulation. and when people found this they all terminated their links, its like getting high at your moms house and you hear soemone coming so you get rid of the stash. Same thing it takes a bit of detective work to get roms anymore specially nes and snes. Best way for me is kazaa, I hate the program but i can't live without it. you will most likely get fakes but 80% of what you find on kazaa will be real.

Re: Question about NES rom emulators
Stay away from romnation its all voting and takes ages. Go to google and search for lucullus site for emulation. I think this is the address lsemulation.emuparadise.org/index.php Its the best site Ive found has roms and emus for everything only one popup ad and once you close it it stays closed if you find a rom not working tell them and itll be up and running in a couple of hours normally. Another great one for snes and genisis and gameboy is qualityroms.com again no popups or voting just click on the game and its yours.
