Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more!

Default System Shock 2, better then half-life?

Well after playing about 10 mins from both games id have to choise.......SShock!

Why you post this you ask? because no one has posted anything slightly interesting for ever!

Half-life, Long fucking game with lotsa monster to shoot and vents to walk thru...

System Shock 2, The father of Dues Ex with a Half-life feel to it. You have skill levels, you can use Psi Abilties, you have 3 different class's to choise from when you start, you can hack and interact with most things in your level. The best part... you accualy have an idea WHAT THE HELL YOUR SPOSE TO FUCKING DO! Thats right folks, no more running around mindlessly shooting everything in sight and find ways to go around that bloody large metal object that falls right in your fucking path!

And lets not forget HOW FUCKING SCARY THAT GAME IS! I'm still freaked out when you walk into that room with like 2 zoombie like things, a guy who hanged himself, and those guys in the body bags with the burning thingy...

So yes, System Shock 2 is way fucking better, now if I can get over my fear and go back to beat more zoombies with a large metal wrentch...

In the new patch they added MP like they did with Dues Ex, but its only TCP/IP so there's no server listings and shit...

I really enjoyed Half Life, Deus Ex, all the games compared to System Shock 2 (even the original System Shock), but I hated System Shock 2, the story was just so flimsy.
