Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more!

I'd like Jet Grind Radio if it was made in shades of purple. All they have to do is make a skating game and I'll play it.

uh YES! in fact, it's bigger! we're talking about Shiguru Miyamoto, here! none of the games he's made (except, perhaps, his first prototype thingy that never got released) has ever been a bad apple. from Donkeykong to the upcoming Metroid Prime (he has a large hand in that), his track record is perfect. Why start doubting him now? believe it or not, graphics don't actually make or break a game. it's the gameplay and funness. I saw a vid of the new Zelda, and he may look weird, but I saw him do some cool stuff. he was buncing off of trees, taking down giant cool looking lava worms, and various other stuff, it looked fucking great. Currently, I cannot wait to play this thing.
