| Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more! |

Need More RPGs
I'm running out of RPGs on my computer, anyone wanna suggest some good ones?
Old and new alike, and I'd prefer a deep story oriented one, not Diablo hack and slash. Actually if anyone knows any games similar to the fisrt two Fallout games I'd appreciate it.

Re: Need More RPGs
You haven't mentioned what games you've played on your PC, but I can still recommend a few for you. If you're looking for some games with more emphasis on storyline, rather than character development/hack and slash, you should try Anachronox, Septera Core, or Deus Ex. Yes, I know that is a first person shooter, but it does have an actual plot behind it other than the lines of something like: "I see bad things, let's shoot them." It also lets you develop your character the way you want him to be. This sort of classifies it as a first person/action RPG. Arcanium is good too if you haven't tried it, also FFVII if you don't have a PS.

Re: Need More RPGs
i gotta a question. of course you all have heard of everquest, asherons call and other mmrpg. i love these games but i am to cheap to pay for them. i used to play this game called runescape all the time, it's on the net, and it was fun and everything until they introduced a pay for play version an dnow they haven't updated the free veriosn so i quit that.but like i was syaing i want to play a game like that but i want one without monthly fee's. i saw a game in best buy called ultima online it looked pretty sweet but i don't know if you have to pay for it or not.

I think your talking about the MMORPG Fallout, ya they stoped that pretty fast. But there is an online Fallout (Fallout Tactics) mostly CTF, DeathMatch, Team Death Match (note this is an offshoot of the true fallout games, it is sorta the same way of being played but its not turn based, like PoR vs NWN) this is only a mode, there mainly is a single player. -Chibi -Fallout Dude

Re: Need More RPGs
If you're into the sleepless nights thing...try some old text games. Maybe some old Apple II adventure games. Those keep you busy for days...
