Ok, so I finished it yesterday, wtf is with the ending? Why couldn't they just let tidus die?

Is it a good game?

well, put it this way, it's better than 8 and 9, not as good as 7, but prettier. It's still kinda predictable in plot, battle system is pretty nice, but too easy to make your summons kick so much ass they can kill a boss in 3 tries.. Worth playing, but not the greatest rpg of all time, and annoying in the way that to get a lot of the good stuff in the game, you need a walkthrough..

if u went back to all of the temples u would have a better understanding of the end.

I was commenting on the fact that square just can't let anyone die anymore.

i think too many people complained about aeris dying and them not bringing her back, so they just cant kill off characters anymore otherwise they would get complaints......

But seriously, having the last THREE final fantasy games end the same way is really starting to tire me.

I assume you mean the "Flower Girl" from FFVII (the greatest RPG ever) The FF series is awesome, but I have to agree with Wintermute about the oldness of the endings. One of the things that is neat is how they all connect in some subtle way [ie. the store names in Ethser (spelling) Wedge and Biggs, and Clouds appearence with his famous sword in Tactics]. The series, most esspecially seven, changed the face of RPGs forever.
