Yeh, same here, still swingin' the 56k. Game I played last night on a clan server was so bad I got killed before I popped in the game, all I could do was run around with my standard hand submachine gun and blast that fool sideways gangsta style while jumping around before I got fragged by some punk that wanted to get lucky with his 0 ping and a rocket launcher.

Once I ran out of standard ammo and had that melee piston it was over for that life.

what about mechwarior mercs? you dont need a high ping and the servers are always empty.
i think that could be a cool game as well.

i got high speed but i would have to see if i could rent it still, because i lost my copy.

it would be cool but i think we have a lack of players. we could just meet in a public server if anyones up for it but i dont think im going to serve one myself with the few players we have.

naw, Mechwarrior battles are toooooo fast, I got all 5 editions; but what do think of a Mechcommander game? It works even fine for slow modems.

like i said before i would be all for it. i love that series.

If you don;t have it then download it off of KaZaA or Morpheus and get the 436 no deta patch (doesn't require the CD), then go download all of the bonus packs.

Dude i'd love to play an online deathmatch with you all...but i have the same problem as most of the people here...slow internet connection and i get blown away before i even get to move!
i've got a 56k modem but i only connect at 33.6k...anyone have a solution to make my connection faster? if so, please send it to me by email:

the problem with the Mechwarrior series
is the imbalance of the weapons. If you want to win on MW2 just fill your mech with Impulse Lasers and shoot with no regard to your heat sinks. On MW3 it�s the LSR20, on MW4 it�s the AK2 Ultra. Result: Very short fights.
