I going to start playing this game more seriously with my pals. I hear a lot of skills suck and you have to be careful were you but your stats. I really want a good PKer so if anyone out there has some supa dope tactics let me know.

well, depends on what class you are.

if you are an amazon, i suggest that you max guided arrow or strafe.

if you are a barb, good luck. they have the toughest time.

if you are a necro, max bone spirit. NOT bone spear. its crap. bone spirit is amazingly effective. also get a decent level of decrepify and iron maiden.

if you are a palladin, get a lot of concentration and blessed hammer. a casting palladin can do massive damage with blessed hammer.

if you are a sorceress, i would suggest getting static field to level 8 or 10. max out frozen orb, and glacial spike. and get a decent level of cold mastery. dont bother with fire other than warmth (which you should max as soon as possible!!). teleport and telekinesis are good spells to ahve as well.

Barbs are the most dangerous class in the game, potentially (save for that damn bone spirit). Leap Attack is fucking brutal, and if you get caught by a Whirlwind, you'll have issues.

what stops bone spirits? does it just deal the damge straight up?

nothing stops the bone spirit spell only that it is slower than bone spear. you can't have resistance to bone spirit and it does the prescribed amount of damage.

When you cast it on me, it did approximately half the listed damage for the level it was at. That may be because it was hitting another player, rather than a bad guy, and bad guys tend to have a nutload of HP, but that's how it was. Against low HP classes (sorcs/amazons/necros), bone spirit is deadly.. against palys, and especially barbs, it may be tougher to drop them. That level 18 bone spirt would take 7-8 hits to kill a high-level barb, if not more. If he outruns them, then does a leap attack, they may not hit, and you'll be in pain.

i want to try to combine it with decrepify to slow people down so i can hit them more.

The reason I have slacked off posting here is to play more DII and all my chars are built for pvp so i know what i'm talking about. but i'll give my 2 cents on pvp

I have a lvl 66 bowzon (*JavaSlayer on USeast)built like this

135 str (the hydro bow in xpac needs 135 str)

50 vit (use +hp stuff, i have 400 hp)
20 energy (just use mana leech)

skills:
max guided arrows
15 multi shot
20 critical strike
1 slow missle
1 valkyre
1 dodge
1 avoid
1 evade
1 decoy
20 penetrate

Ok when you get to the right lvl and have a good bow, jump into a dueling game (hit auto map and make sure its not a nightmare or hell game as you'll be losing exp if you die (which you shouldn't)

now put guided arrow on your left click and make sure sure you have your hotkeys setup so you can switch between valk, slowmissle, and multi shot.

vs lance barbs
this should be the easy match as the barb build is max a mastery max whirlwind and leap attack a few times no real surprises just keep ahead of them and pumping ga's (guided arrows) into them.

keep in mind no matter what they have to stop to iniate any attack (like ww) so keep on your toes they have to stop moving to start a whirlwind so when you hear that sound make a 45 degree turn move out of range of the lance and pump them full of arrows (the cold dmg from eye of eltich will slow them down which helps too)

vs sword shiled barbs

these guys are just as easy just take a little longer. adjust your stratige and use multi shot instead of guided arrow (you'll hit them more and block stun lock them)
if you have a ias bow sias belt sias gaunts and sias armor you can just block/stun lock them. whenever sombody blocks something with a shiled they go into a blcok animation and they can't do anything while like that and if you do 1/12 of somethings hit points it will go into a stun animation so if ou can shoot arrows fast enough you can make it to where they just lock up eating arrows and they can't do a damn thing. if you don't shoot that fast just keep in frount of them and when ever you hear that ww sound make a 90 degree turn (not 45 a exec sword doesn't have the range of a lance so turn harder and shoot even more)

vs necros
these guys are a cake walk too just summon a valk to keep his golem busy, and slow missle him. he will probably decrep you but you will still be faster than his bone spirts so just stay ahead of them and turn him into a corpse.

vs pallys
you'll probably want to switch to death sash if they are using holy freeze so you wont get chilled and slow down and hit them with multi as opposed to guided arrow as its harder to block with a sheild

vs other zons
you will probably end up slow missling each otehr if you can get close if that happens use multi shot as it acts like a barrer the more the better try and box them in with it.
if they don't bother slow missleing you keep shooting guided arrows at them and try and keep your valk between her and you she will act as a meat shield. resummon her at need.

vs sorcs
if they are good your screwed. sorcs are very unbalanced for pvp. the good sorc stratige (teleport frost orb teleport lather rinse repeat) will beat you every time. guided arrow will not ever catch a teleporting sorc they are 3x faster if you must try put on your deaths sash and just shoot guided and multi in there general direction you might get lucky

oh yeah about the necro vs duriel. he should be super duper easy

get as many minions as possible (hire a merc too) walk into his den. put a iron madien on him and laugh as he keeps hacking at your blood golem and healing it and you and hurting himself.

that's what i did but at the cost of saving skill points.

durliel goes through skeletons like a hot knife through butter.

unless you have a couple levels of revive, he is gonna be a pain, even WITH blood golem and Iron maiden.

i would suggest, if you have it, iron golem anbd iron maiden. he will take much more damage at the cost of the iron golem dying faster. if you have a halfway decent level of golem mastery, this with your other summons will be particularly deadly. always go down there with FULL summons. no less.

on any other diff level, duriel is easy as crap if you have revives. i have +8 to skills with a base lvl of 2 in revive, and i spanked him. he didn't even get through killing all of my summons. my golem was still standing as well.
