Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
Damn this. I mean we're not accomplishing anything. What is this life we are living? I mean, people come and go, we get hurt, and why? We are human beings! We can be so aware, then why do we act so blind? *sigh* What's the point? Bar Room, anyone give me some insight!

I'm not sure. I would go with that we are a product of evolution an chance and with that there is no god that created us. just a possible idea. ~mew~

Re: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
It depends on if you believe in an afterlife or reincarnation. Personally, myself, I believe in both and I believe that we are here on this plain of existence learning our "life lessons". Once you've learned all the lessons you need to learn in this plain, you move onto the next until you reach "nirvana".

Re: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
i am not sure of what i believe in...i do believe that people die and then they come back...but we can't see them, and they interact with our life, helping us and making us learn valuable lessons.

Also, we have yet to learn how to act and behave to avoid pain in this society of ours. People need to be more selfish but also have more respect for others. then maybe things would be better?

Re: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
lokil,
i know what you mean pal. its like all we are now are technological mice running around to ge tour next pellet. other times the human race stands bold ans strong and serves an example of what things SHOULD be like.
thats why i don't put faith in things in material posessions. i trust God. that does it for me. humans are dumb. they really are. they have a tendency to be completely blind. they say that they love someone and yet hate their brother. they can't co-exist. real love is unconditional, friend or foe, you love them as brothers and sisters. humans have lost that in the falling.

I don't think there is very much wisdom in that at all. The only people who worry about nothing are the dead ones.

Re: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
That's not true.
It's a sad thing that stress is forced on people from outward directions, but there's no reason to create your own.
If you feel there's no point to life, I would say you're right. Now all you need to do is figure out a reason to go on that makes you happy.
If no reason exists, kill yourself. That's all I'm sayin.

Well one reason to live is to find a reason to live. And well, yeah.

Uhhh... Wouldn't doing something -- anything -- be motivated by the desire to be happy?

what about the 'magic' (and i use it loosely) of reproduction...shurly someone believes that our goal/ not goal but a good reason to live on this earth is to keep 'it' living

I can't hold onto a thought right now.
Islamics don't use drugs, so that whole numbers thing has to be from somewhere. I keep wondering about their visual language for expressing those paterns.

Re: Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all it's pupils
i didnt read most of the posts here, but....
i think that our purpose here is to keep the equilibrium of life, well, equal. everyone does their own part to help the world. i think thats kinda what sparr was trying to get at.
