Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
Shallow I use to take a interist into Wicca and read alot about it. But quickly realized it wasn't quite what I was looking for. There are many paths to follow. I choose to follow my own. But if Wicca works for you Then Good. Remember to keep an open mind to all religions. If you can find it a really good book is "Modern Magick"(Eleven Lessons in the High Magickal Arts). By Donald Michael Kraig. Llewellyn Publications.

At one time I was pretty deep into wicca. Alot of it made sense. It just kind of died off in me. Read Scott Cunningham, he has a ton of books out.

Z3m Magick is spirituality. Even Catholic's have their Rites And Rituals. Is the same thing. It is all Symbolism. No matter how you worship.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
i used to be interested in the occult and such.
anybody read the book "the ultimate evil"
it made a reference to where i'm from, north dakota, specifically the minot air force base as one of the major places in america for "witches" and "satan-worshipping"
my roommate used to have this drummer in his band from minot.
and he got wrapped up in it heavily, once in it's hard to get out because it's a form of brainwashing. they make you think the whole world is against you, and the people in the cult are your only friends.
you are easily misled, because the people that come looking showing an interest in it, all generally fit the same psychological profiles, lost in life and looking for direction, and most importantly looking for the answers to the future.
they can pick up personality traits by your style of dress, and basically say they provide the answer for every persons question that they ask at one time or another.
"is this all i am, is there nothing more"
and when a fed generallities about your past, which are picked up by the personality traits that you give off upon first meeting your belief in them is reaffirmed and you start to believe everything else they tell you.
he got out of it, by realizing that most of the people that joined were just like him, which got hime wondering.
then he realized that all of the "majick" was just "tricks" you could get at a magic shop, and "tricks" you could perform with household items.
the rest was just how much they had you believing.
and that the people in power, were just that people who wanted control over others, when they realized in life they couldn't get over general society, they turned to those society threw away or who just turned their back on society.
they convinced you were in the possession of great power upon man, but you generally found out you had no control over anything except those who joined after you did.

But Al was a real cool guy.
...And the Book of the Law was more truthful than any occultist seems to realize.
The Book of Pleasure was good as well. The whole idea was taken way out of proportion, however.
Unfounded faith, no matter what form it takes, is a bad thing. Ramble.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
thunbs up Z3m...
you should take what anyone tells you with a grain of salt. find your own way of relating with existence. any type of 'group' should be there as a reference of information (as to where to find it), not as the basis of forming your personal beliefs/philosophy.
The reason why people in this society get caught up in 'groups' is because we, as a Christian society, are used to being told what we should believe. When people decide to look at other philosophies or religions, they go looking for another 'group' to tell them what they must believe.
If you are going to revamp your belief structure, make sure you are not using your old thought habits from your old belief structure. You have to start all over, from scratch. You also need to make sure you are looking in a certain place for the right reasons... going into a 'group' because they promise you power(s) is probably not a good reason, thus a shitty choice.
Basically, most people walk into situations blindly. They are accustomed to the dark.

no way your an auzzie mate, pigs fucking ass, every one knows that the best beer is home brew, carlton cold and vb are 'close 'but thats what van goe(or how ever its spelt) said about his ear, tones of secrets exist on how to get your brew just right, but i dont drink, i dont take drugs, i dont need any thing to be in an altred state, all the weight training and mind reading and processing of awareness is enough testos for me, i suffer from high energy levals, and train on average of 2 too 2 and a half hours five days a week, weight training, the rest in two killing techniques, as well i train the members in our horde as well, piss is boring, drugs even more, but strength and awareness, are un equalled, and dont be critical about spelling, give a cunt a break ever now and than for fuck sake.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
wicca is a trendy. hasnt always been, but within the last decade it has just become the "cool" thing to do. i mostly notice wicca as being young women, who are lonley and lost, looking for some kind of an answer. they are attracted to wicca beceause of it's mystery and glamour. if you are really into it then thats fine, but why go around saying "yeah im into wicca" like its a fucking rock and roll band or something. its a beleif system. but you have to admit, it seems very trendy sometimes.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
Well if you want my opinion on the matter I think wicca is a pile of shight same as all religion. Only an idiot would join a cult cos they misdirected fuckups. No such thing as God, the Devil, Angels, Fairies, Munchkins and what the fuck else. There is nothing but the pure evil of mankind. Anyway back to the point about wicca Yes i would join a coven of witches but thats only coz i could have pure sex wiv all 12 of them and fulfill my sordid sexual fantasies and spill loads of cum on their tight little asses. mmmmmmmmm yummy

Hey Shallow to be quite serious many years ago i was into all that stuff and i dident find it of any use to myself but i never went in depth with it so i cant really give a valid opinion on it although i still have have some of the books etc etc from those days. In all fairness if i had to choose a religion to follow then wicca would be my No 1 choice but the thing is I just dont beleive in anything.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
Woody, pull your lips of of nihilistic's dick for a minute and listen to me. Wicca has been around a hell of a lot longer than most other religions that are considered mainstream (christianity, judiasiam, buddisim, etc...) And it's not just 'chicks' that are into it either. What the fuck are you calling a 'cult' anyways? You obviously don't know much about it if you truly beleive that it is a cult. It's fine not to beleive in anything, but that doesn't mean that you have to rip on those that do chose to beleive in something. And I find your veiws on wiccan sexuality disgusting.

Wicca, as like all modern occult followings, is based on a fairy tale of deep traditions and ancient knowledge.
I defy anyone to prove Wicca is as old as even Christianity... Let alone Hinduism!

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
Prometheus I agree with you in that respect about wicca being the oldest tradition and what not but it is still a cult just like the catholics, the prodestants, the hindus, the mormans and who the fuck else coz theres that many of the idiots running about claiming all types of shit. Wicca is a cult in the fact that you join a group and partake in ritual ceremonies and follow a tradition just like every other cult. The only reason you say it is not a cult is the fact that it has been around for a very long time. Maybe in 5000 years time people will say that the moonies and hare krishna sect are not cults because by then they will have been around for a very long time. They are all one and the same and the main point of wicca is some preist or preistess is as dirty as me and wants to get his rocks off wiv as many ppl as possible so Hey Im going to open a coven and i get to shag 12 bitches eerrrr witches. Yeah Il get slabs of beer a couple oz of ganga and all i have to do is knock up a mock alter wiv a couple o planks of wood couple o nails etc etc get some candles paint em black get my mates round and invite Nihilistic wiv his mates and il start chanting spells to make us all richer than what bill gates can only dream about. Il slam some xxxxxxx filth on the old vid. Il have big neon signs outside saying "Woodys Coven" Party on now. Come on down . . . . The Price Is Right. Bring a Bottle. What a fuckin terriffic idea oh yeah my penile erectile tissue is throbbing and increasing in size to astronomical proportions just thinking bout all this mega filth. And Prometheus you will have to pay a membership fee for being disrespectfull to me and hey bout me saying shit in previous posts . . . So !! But hey Prometheus come on down for a one night trial and you will see every disgusting carnal filthy dirty skullfucking erotic sex act that even porno producers cant even think up. . . . Fuck I might even get a couple of nuns in and shag their anal canal balloon knots. Right im off now to knock up a alter for tonight.

Re: Is anyone here ACTUALLY interested in wicca, for real?
I use to be in a large "wiccan" coven but I wasn't wiccan. I was a witch. To me modern wiccans seem more interested in saying "Don't get mad at me, I'm not really a satanist". Not all are like that, but most of the ones I met were. I also had issues with the whole "we must be nice and good, but at the same time believe in duality." That didn't make sense to me either. I think you need to accept all part of nature, the fuzzy bunny aspects as well as the cold blooded snake parts. Wiccans work very hard at being passive and not rocking to boat. If you are a witch, you just are and it doesnt make a damn bit of difference what you neighbor thinks or how much the latest Llwellynn bit of claptrap cost.

Duh. New religions aren't always bad, but when they pretend to be old it disgusts me.
