Well if you listen to maddox, http://www.xmission.com/~maddox , you'd know he says that there isn't a set of defining rules that makes you a goth. i don't have much knowledge about gothic beliefs but hopefully you could find something helpful there :P

d00d... noone should need a guide to be anything. if people start following guides for how to be who they are we're gonna get real bored real quick. be your own twist on whatever you want to be. dont make it easier for people to just lump everyone together in some silly category.

i guess its different when youre younger maybe, but i wasnt ever really in any group. i just kinda chilled with anyone... maybe i was just a loser so i didnt get into anything cool enough to deserve a category or any recognition beyond "that loser pot-head who makes me laugh in history and kicks hackeysack in the courtyard during lunch with the other loser potheads. i think he thinks hes jim morrison or something."

either way, what you are is about your attitude, not anything else. and i dont know how you can write a guide to attitude, if someone doesnt feel it, they cant just be it. basically, youll be writing a guide about how to fake being a goth, because anyone can follow a guide and act the part. its all about the attitude and being honest about how you feel and who you are.

i agree jung but the thing your forgetting is that your from an entirely different generation. todays teen is concerned with one thing above all else, fitting in with the group. it has been proven with psychological surveys and studies that our generations really are very different even though they are seperated by less than ten years. this group idenity is a result of parrents not spending time with their kids and thereby forcing them to seek idenity outside of the family. even good traditional families spend less time with thier kids.

so the point im trying to make is yes your right but this kid wont listen, hes just another teenie bopper.
