i designed this site for a friend what do you think? this is my first real attemt at web design. any gripes, flames, or possibly complements(yeah right). what do you think of the loading speed and the layout? do you like the color scheme?

Color scheme is nice, the buttons I hate, LoL. Why not make those a lil' prettier? And get rid of the scroll bar at the Dj LouDawg or whatever. That's kinda...yeah. Make the icon for Dj Loudawg smaller, center it, then cut off those parts that are out, so you won't have the lil' scroll bar. And try to get rid of the crollbar for the buttons, it's kind of annoying...And just a thought maybe instead of two links to get to your website, just set the first one, your icon to get you to the main site. The Microphone is kinda stupid...Oh yeha one last thing, defintely get some kind of graphics program, paint just isn't going to cute it.....

yes...your framse should be set to something like scroll=no resize=no or something like that.

use a program like adobe photoshop, you can get some really awsome buttons outta there, and they are real easy to make.

some content needs to be worked on. i'll sound like a narc but use capitals, proper sentence structure, punctuation and stuff to make it look higher-class and semi-pro. use <xml> at the end of the code for all the pages to get rid of the damm geocities thing. (thanks obscure!) but yeah...it's good but a little bit of a fixxer upper.

thanks for the honest replies. i think i will fix the scroll thing but im going to keep the double enter screen.as for caps and puntuation im just lazy and will eventualy get to it. the site is pretty new so i havent had time yet. ill take the advive on photo shop. i just made the buttons look a bit ghetto on purpos because some of the content is rap oriented.

Dude, you have already done the worst thing in webs site design. It took me two clicks and 30 seconds to actually get to the main page. Splash screens are for porn sites and amateurs. Statistics show that this is too much. People should be able to go straight to the main page without clicking through two screens and also on my modem, it took 30 seconds, most people give up after around 16 seconds of a page loading or not finding anything that looks interesting.

Basically, get rid of the first two pages and it'll be a lot better. Plus sort you're spelling and punctuation out.

wow i didnt realize that it took that long because i use cable. ill get ride of them this week. thanks for hanging in there to see it eventhough it took too long.

Damn, your site design is horrible.

The site design is not bad, but in my own opinion, you might want to do away with the frames and just make the menu present at the top of each page. Need to work on the colours a bit, white is bad news for backgrounds. Anyway, i agree with the others about the loading speed and the two spash pages, takes too much time. Good luck with the rest of the site.

lol, keep in mind it was my first attemp at real web design. it wasnt a terible failure either. its a little fucked up on high resolutions but i may revamp the entire site when im done with the one im working on now.

I don't know if it has been said yet because I simply wasn't paying much attention to all of the posts, but throw in an <xml> in your main frame after </html>. You need to get rid of that banner for geocities. Makes it look less professional.

thanks for the tip, i use that method on my other pages. i may fix it up but it was mainly a joke that only my friends would get. anyway thanks for the feedback.

Those fist two pages suck big time. I'm only using a 56k modem and those pages were just annoying. Also the sizes of your pictures kinda screw up the site if you've got a display of 800-600. Apart from that I really like your colours. If you worked on the background too it might help
