i believe that the roswell crash was a hoax for the simple reason
if other life forms were smart enough
to build a space ship with a superior engine and fly millions of lightyears thought space to earth.

why the hell would they crash into it,they would be far to superior to crash there craft,they would be just to smart to do it.

In my opinion, the Roswell debris was a high-altitude military surveillance balloon that crashed. (This was around the end of WWII and the beginning of the Cold War, remember). Of course the military would then rush in to retrieve it in case any details of the technology got out. (It would have been fairly advanced at the time, I'm guessing). At the first press release, they showed the balloon debris, but were later told they shouldn't have, so they recanted and said 'we don't know what it was' and showed different bits of metal. When the UFO idea appeared, they would have let it take over: if everyone thought it was a crashed flying saucer, no-one would worry about a crashed military test balloon. The whole UFO story is in fact riddled with holes and contradictions; it falls apart under any close kind of anaylsis.
The more I think about it, the more it's just another example of modern myth-making.

no, it really is a weather balloon. They released the case files. And frankly I belive em. Some moron who wanted to inspire the belief that aliens have arrived blew this out of proportion. I dont doubt aliens, just their existance or visitations here.

Why would they have to be perfect?

Just because they have advanced technology doesn't make them perfect. They could be a race similar to humans, just more advanced and have found a way to travel faster than the speed of light using some method humans don't know about.

Sure, aliens exist somewhere else in the universe; but the key words here are 'somewhere else'. They haven't visited the Earth; there simply is no hard evidence for it. Plenty of unexplained phenomena, but nothing to suggest it's aliens. Of course, there's a world of possibilites, and maybe aliens have come here, but not to Roswell, and not to a lot of places people claim.

The fascination with aliens can be compared to none other than religion itself. It will always be around, no matter ho far it strays from it's original thought, and no matter how fallible the idea becomes.

Aliens are actually plausible because if intellegent life can happen here, it can happen elsewhere as well.
