Me and my friend's view on the universe
Have you ever wondered what is beyond the event horizon of our universe? well me and my best friend have, we speculate that the universe that we know is actually inside a black hole. Seeing as how humans really can't grasp the size of the universe, what little we do know might be all wrong. This is a little off the subject but I theorize that the concept of the multiverse is true, if so then the black holes we know of might actually be wormholes to other universes inside of them, cause what happens when matter goes into a black hole? Correct me if i am wrong, but Einstien stated that matter cannot be created or destroyed, what if the matter that enters a black hole rearranges itself into a new universe on the other side of a black hole? Please post comments, concerns and feel free to flame me if you like.

Re: Me and my friend's view on the universe
That seems to make sense but I am just happy to know that there are still some other people out there that think deeper thoughts than just food,sex,work,sex,money...

Re: Me and my friend's view on the universe
It's an untestable hypothesis. It's like saying we could be jacked into the Matrix right now, there is no way to prove or disprove it.

Re: Me and my friend's view on the universe
That's interesting, i think about this all the time and thoughts like that have crossed my mind before but i always shooed them aside telling myself i was a psycho and just had an overactive imagination. it's good to know other people think about deep things like this.

Re: Me and my friend's view on the universe
Read Shrodinger's Cat or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (or something like that). They are quite similar and deal with the multiverse theory. Shrodinger's Cat is the theory of the multiverse, and infinate number of universes. The difference though is that every possibility of doing something has happened. Therefore, if you believe in Shrodinger's Cat, you cannot look back on life and past events and ask what if you did it different because you DID do it different. You did every possible option. This is where the answer to Shrodinger's Cat comes from. In one universe the Cat lives. In one universe the Cat dies. In one universe the CAT DOES NOT EXIST. This also leads to Pavlov's Dog. Pavlov's Dog says that everything, including human activities, is mechanical. Everything we do is in a mechanical form, repeating itself in the Shrodinger's Cat paradox. What is the other answer to Shrodinger's Cat? Conscienceness. How one pertains it? Hell if I know. If you are interested in astral projection you definately should read this book. It does a wonderful job of talking about it.

Re: Me and my friend's view on the universe
DaHc:"Pavlov's Dog says that everything, including human activities, is mechanical."
Pavlov's work proves no such thing. He created a conditioned reaction to the sound of a bell in dogs, but that doesn't mean everything is mechanical. You seem to be arguing that his work proves all human interaction is nothing but condition response. Kind of a huge logic gap, don't you think?
