what if love is just a feeling "programmed" in your brain that your brain makes you feel during your early years. your brain does this so that you express your love physically, eventually leading to pregnancy, which means reproduction. because we need to reproduce. if we dont, out species would die out. and we cant have that. so to show what i said above in a series of events...

a persons brain makes a person start to feel love for another person. this feeling grows. the person wants to express his love, but cant think of how to do it. so he (or she) expresses it physically. this leads to reproduction, so the species lives.

this would explain a lot of previously unexplainable questions about love, such as "why?"

feeling horny and feeling in love are two seperate and distinct emotions.

being in love may help stimulate horniness;

horniness does not necessarily stimulate love.

mankind could never know love and stil the species would survive through being horny.

This topic gave me a spun out dream the other night.
It started as me breaking down the love equation as mentioned here. Sort of. Then I started to work out simple equations for every human thing that related back to electricity and energy. It kept breaking down more and more (the world) until i was looking at a bug group of 0's and 1's (matrix style.. lol)
Then I was working on the equation for death, and just before i could finish, i woke up... damn damn.

Man, you've got some strange sexual energy. Besides, bees aren't social either. They live in a hive. It's different. Also, "bees" don't have sex. Anyway, I personally believe that human attraction only lasts an average of four years. You could be head over heels in love with both her personality and her looks, but four years later you will be done with her. It takes about four years to have sex and then raise a child to self-reliance.

This way, a human male can go from woman to woman and spread his seed to many more.

My other thoughts on human reproduction

Homosexuality in a social group only begins to be accepted (not to mention more widespread, less abnormal) when the population is reaching its bounds. In other words, it is a natural way to slow reproduction. Gay people don't usually have kids, or at least not as many.

Anthropology suggests that the only reason women have breasts are so that men, who would originally bang whoever he saw first, from behind, hard and fast, would fuck them from the front and remember their face. This way they would come back. (Men don't need long term partners, women do, in the sense that men are defenders and meat-bringers) Originally women had no breasts and c'mon guys, you know you would just do her from behind if she didn't, Hell, you do her from behind anyway.

This is the basis for love, peopla fall in love for the benefit of the female.
