i live out in the country about 6 miles from the nearest town. it was back in dec of 98. and it was about 9:30 pm. and i was at my place making sure nobody had broken in or was breaking in to my place ( i hadnt moved in yet). as i was about to leave i noticed this red light in the west. it wasnt blinking or anything. and it would move forward a ways then go straight up then down then it would move backwards. and this was all too fast for a helicopter to do or any plane. a few people that ive told this to said that it was prob someone shining a laser in the clouds. only it wasnt a cloudy night. the stars were out but i could tell this was prob anywhere between 1000 to 2000 feet high. i dont believe in aliens but i do think it was prob some kind of military craft. since there is an air force base about 60 or 70 miles to the west. i saw it once agin a few months later at night after i had moved into my house but i havent seen it in about 2 years. just thought id share.

anyways, do you live near a research center (like the one in Los Alamos in NM?)

maybe you did see one of the many things that NASA is covering up.

The Space Shuttle has all kinds of footage of shit flying up and out into space at incredible speeds.

Someone told me they were watching the NASA channel some 3 years ago and NASA cut the feed when one of the female astonauts said "Whats that" as if she saw something moving in space. Buzz Aldrin has openly said that he had first hand info of Alien Coverups. but then again he sells books.

a ufo eh? well ufo means unidentified flying object, right?

well i could say in just as a valid way that i saw a ufo, infact i see em all the time, i'm just 2 thick 2 realise they r aeroplanes, so 2 me they r UNIDENTIFIED, thus i have seen unidentified flying objects! :-S

i have heard scores of stories similar to yours, but unlike you i do believe in alien lifeforms ... so i really cant tell you what i think cuz it wouldnt matter. but i have no doubts that nasa and the government are hiding secret technologies from us once again and that light could very well be a military craft

I've seen almost the exact same thing. Only, the one i <and my friend> saw would shoot forward then like coast backwards then shoot again. (Here's the story for anyone who cares to read)

Me and my friend, we'll call him Jeremy since that's his name, were working on his uncle's farm one summer. We'd take our wages and buy cigarettes, drugs, and fireworks.

Well one night after buying some crank and fireworks, we went out an laid in the road, this is in the middle of BFE, and the effects of the crank were pretty much gone and we were still chucking our chocolate donuts at what we thought to be Viet Cong in the surrounding trees when we seen a small red light. We didn't pay much attention to it at first because it was over a hillside, we jus thought it was a radio or phone tower.

We ran out of donuts and laid in the street smoking when we noticed the light gettin closer, doing the erratic movements i mentioned before. We just watched and talked about what it could be. We ruled out airplanes, helicopters, and such because of the erratic movements.

We stood mesmerized watching this thing get closer and closer and i realized we were both shaking. It was the middle of summer and hot as hell. We were both scared as hell. The odd part is we were talking about alien lifeforms just hours before while shooting rockets at cars and cows.

It came closer until we lost sight behind a group of trees so we ran down the road to get a better view and when we cleared the trees, about 25 seconds of running, the object was going back the same way it came.

This bewildered me. No aircraft i know of can do such manuevering. Then again the government is hiding things from us. The nearest military base if Fort Grissom some 200 miles to the north.

I believe in alien life and i believe how easily simple things can be thought to be alien. I've no idea what it was, and i don't really care to find out now.

By the way, this was approximately 3 years ago also, odd.
