If you mean close encounters...
1 = seen a ship
2 = seen an alien
3 = communicated with an alien

Almost Z. But the encounters are:
- Seeing a UFO (that's anything unidentified, could be an alien ship, but maybe not)
- When a UFO leaves physical evidence of it's presence (burn marks, blows up your house, etc.)
- Seeing an alien
- Communicating with the alien
- Alien abduction
