Crush my toes between the mud
The blades stand tall, and overpowering.
Giving me light, showing me darkness
Blocking my view, blocking my path
Slowly slipping into the mud
Grabbing my skin, grabbing it all
Finding a path to the end
Running towards the ground
Watching the blades stab in my direction
Finding every color stealing my identity
Scrambling to find a crevice to hold on to
Jumping over the continuous hurdles
Listening to the beat of my heart...
Slowly stopping the energy I have left
Tripping over my own faults
Only to find myself looking up again...
Looking up at what I have been waiting for
Not the Blades the that conceal me...
But the rockies the rockies that reveal me.
And today I start that trek
Slowly watching the blades disappear
And slowly watching my dreams reappear.
