 How can i get three red rings?
A couple days ago i got a one red light on my xbox (E74 error)
and apparently the three-year warranty is only valid if you hav three red lights...so if i want 2 get it fixed i hav 2 pay 94 fuckin dollars......is there anyway i can make my xbox hav three red rings so i dont hav 2 pay?

This thread is relevant to my interests. My 360 is loud as fuck sound ugly as shit. It sounds like it chews on the fucking games. I dont really play it much anymore so I'm trying to sell it. But the noises puts everyone off of buying it. I want it to red rign so I can get a free one and then sell that bitch. I'll probably send it to microsoft to fix the shit for 100 dollars and then sell it for 150 or something. What do game shops offer for 360 trade0ins?

Call up the support line (18004MYXBOX).
Tell them you got the 3 red rings.
Pretend to do all the steps they want you to do and tell them it didn't work.
Send your 360 back and get a new one.
They don't inspect every single console. They just take in the console and send you a different one. I've had cores and premiums come back regardless of what I sent them.

I can personally vouch for doing the heat thing. First cover all vents w/ foil. Then a towel. After it overheats (2 lights), put it in your freezer for an hour or two. Pull it out and repeat.
